This novel will you give you goosebumps on every part of your body.

Let me start by the talking about the intimate scenes...you will melt. It's so perfectly detailed and satisfactory that you will want to read it over and over again. The author is so wonderful.

The plot is beautiful. The two characters are likable working people who end falling deeply in love with each other. Great read!

I seldom give out a 10, believe me my favorite mangas are usually 8 something to 9, but rarely 10. Though this one is a novel, I gave it a shot since there were favorable responses about it.

I didn't expect this one to be so down to earth, it feels like it could even turn out to be a mini-series....it's how good it is. The love scenes are detailed enough for your imagination, the illustrations are good, the pacing is very good too! I love how their love story didn't just end with the presented problem and made up in the end, and they lived happily ever after. No, this one is to my delight a surprising find! I love how their relationship went through stages of issues that tested their bond and as well as their character development.

Over all, you should give this a try!

Cliche but endearing story.

While the plot of Caged Slave makes heavy use of cliches, they are put together in a rather charming way. After all, cliches are cliche for a reason.

The illustrations were... underwhelming. I was disappointed that they barely hit the "average" mark on my art scale. I find this less excusable in a light novel than a manga because there are only a handful of images, their purpose being to support and enhance the writing.
I also do not think the character designs hit the mark of how the author described the characters.

As a side note, I was disappointed by the editing in the U.S. release of this light novel.

Overall, this is a good BL light novel. The story is sweet and doesn't lag.
Worth the quick read for a BL lover.

Note: This novel does contain explicit sex scenes.

Good office love themed story!

I liked this more than the other office loves surprisingly. At first when I started reading this I thought it was just typical yaoi with unrequited love where they get together at the end. But I was wrong. It goes further than that and that's what I enjoyed the most about this story.
The characters were both good. Not the best, but ok. I liked them both.
The art was what bothered me the most. Not trying to be mean or anything, but it wasn't pretty. The guys were way too bold to fit the characters. Specially the uke, I thought of him as this pretty fragile boy. But the art portraid him as this muscly guy. Maybe it's just the style, but it doesn't fit the characters.
Overall, it was an enjoyable read. I liked better than a lot of novels. eyes

better than most

I found this novel to be better than most novels I've read of this type. The characters were endearing, especially Tsukasa. You actually felt sorry for him at points, because the author did an excellent job of drawing out emotional response. The angst in the story keeps the reader riveted. The sex between him and Takeshima was graphic and vivid, just the way I like it. I actually read through the whole thing at once, something I don't always do. The illustrations were very good, and went well with the story. I would recommend this one.

Good story, mediocre art

The story is good. I actually like how there isn't a second conflict; most of the BL novels I've read have two conflicts and they kind of drag on. This one balances the plot pretty well, with the downside being how short it is.

That said, what the heck is with those illustrations? You read about Tsukasa being a human punching bag, and all of a sudden you see a beefcake. Not at all what I pictured. And no offense to the artist, but the men look like they have boobs. I love pecs as much as the next girl, but not when they're perfectly round and shaded like a woman's chest.
