If ever there's a manga series that confuddles me, but keeps me riveted at the same time, it's xxxHOLiC. Although there are obvious similarities between HOLiC and a previous CLAMP manga called Legal Drug (its like LD was a practice run for HOLiC), all the storylines and ideas in this manga are so interesting and different to what is normally out there (but so typically CLAMP logic) that it intrigues me to no end. The only (large) drarback with this series is the sporadic releases of the chapters... its been, what, a month since 144? It's like CLAMP's trying to finish Tsubasa before HOLiC -- so the endings are linked then? Who knows... but whatever it is, the ending to HOLiC (whether it be just this arc, or the whole series) will be memorable, and one that will guarantee HOLiC's place as the best manga I've ever read. nice art, nice plot, intersting characters.... best CLAMP manga work ever!!!!

I love this series! The story is a little strange with all of its weird quirks but I love it anyway. All of the characters are well developed and you never know what can happen next. And the storyline intertwines with another one of my favorite clamp series, Tsubasa which makes me love it even more. I highly recommend this to anyone who believes in the supernatural and fate.

Its a really great manga, even if the violence level is a bit low for me. The art style, although the people run thin, is really nice, and I love the plotline, although once you get to a hundred or so chapters they edge a bit from the main plot. Its still a really great manga, more so if you like magic and wisdom you do not understand properly..

i don't think much of Clamp...but this one is really good, because of Watanuki otherwise i wouldn't give it a dime...well...i don't care for art, but it is indeed good

It's nice. But I have yet to really be captured by it... maybe because I haven't read that many books... but still, pretty nice. Wonderful art as expected!

Not a big fan of the BL notion, but what the heck, it's CLAMP. Expect the usual mix of funny gags, angsty characters and beautiful art.

It's a great manga to have in your collection! ^-^
The storys are more then great, not to mention the detail in the illustrations!!!

This series is a demonstration of how good CLAMP can be when they get things right: wonderful, flowing artwork that looks like something from the art nouveau period, combined with an engrossing story and a wicked sense of humour. Primarily for a more mature audience, as a lot of the subtleties of the story will fly over the heads of younger readers, this story for me is the best they have done to-date.
