Description
From Stiletto Heels:
Momoko, who dreams of becoming an illustrator, finds employment in an ultra fast-paced office that specializes in designing pachinko parlors!! With the office running a yakuza-like business and employing a designer who has a habit of suddenly stripping in the middle of the night, Momoko believes that the company employees are a bit... no, definitely eccentric!! She continues pulling all-nighters, unable even to return home... And in the midst of that cigarette smoke-filled office, where women's authority takes a step back, she asks herself, "Why am I here?"

Punch All Men

I think the reason that I do not like it so much is because it strikes too close to a reality that I cannot take in a very comic manner. I want so much for Momoko to punch all the man in this manga, I just hate them so much for different reasons. It’s just that when I read the after-ward how this was based heavily on Nemu Youko sensei’s past, I just became so much more sad and angry; fuck the capitalist culture in Japan and men.

Simple but effective

My favorite part of this manga is the art. It's simple and clean, and the faces are really expressive. Honestly the content isn't anything special but it's good enough to read a chapter every few days. It's a relatable adult-like office story mixed with a little romance and comedy.

something disappointing

Yes, the art was cute and the story as how it go is good until the last two chapter. One thing I must consider is the realistic element of this manga while it try to balance its comedy and cute style (I like its cute style anw)

In the last two chapter

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The MC get back with the mature man leaving her ex-boyfriend behind and having loveley donvey later on

Ok, what I'm going to write now is a little biased when I feel bad for her ex-boyfriend but yeah, this manga has the way that make things seem realistic which is not all fair for all character in the end. That doesn't mean I'm trying to argue that the ex-boyfriend is forgivable but I think that, in some ways, he should have given more understandable thoughts.

The ex-boyfriend cheating on MC so he got dumped. Yes, it's reasonable and his reason that MC just don't care about him is reasonable too. Let get real, when your love one rarely pay attention or show his/her passionate or affection to you, do you feel that he/she love you? Hence, break-up is a good choice for both. He cheating on her but at the same time, she act cold to him. It's not about who's right and who's wrong. It's just things happen as they are supposed to happen in that situation.

About MC new love drama, the manga get worse there. Let consider his reason he's just married on paper, so how about the co-worker girl, why don't he give her a no at the first place but after he settled with MC. Isn't that the same as MC cheating on her? And about the MC, she forget about her ex easily but can't do it with the mature guy. Isn't that biased though I know this manga is not about being fair and the character is just the human so they may have emotional thoughts. And what, the ex at least confess cheating and give proper apology while that guy only admit when being asked. The author would better give more reasonable explanation to this.

Moreover, about MC's dream to be an illustrator, the later of manga doesn't say anything about it and just loveley donvey thing. I'm being fine with that she break-up with the mature guy and looking for a brighter future with her dream but then the last 2 chap disappointed me.

I was going to give it 8/2 till chap 13 but then I didn't want anymore. 7.5-7.7 may be the best I can give. At least I enjoy the art style. Hope MC ex can forget about her.

Good Josei Slice of Life

I really loved the cover-art for these volumes, to the point that I would want to have them as large-sized posters in my house. I really think they conveyed something special and they made me think of the author as more of a graphic artist rather than a mangaka. The story is simple and enjoyable - while it is neither suspenseful or unique, its great charm stems from the fact that it realistically describes the dilemmas, worries and sources of motivation or happiness of the demographic it caters to. As a lovingly drawn josei which accurately portrays these and does so with panache, I highly recommend it to any lover of the demographic and slice of life genre.

What a great series! I reread this after missing three updates and it was just as good the second read-through. I genuinely enjoyed reading this. I can't describe how well-written this was and what a great comedic slice-of-life it is. The characters are down-to-earth and very real. The plot manages to focus on both Momoko's career and romance without obessing over either.

To top it all off, the art is so crisp and adorable.

I highly recommend it!

Holy shit. Just, holy shit. I have never more loved a female lead of a manga, and I have never loved a cast more. It's not directly romance-centered, but it's got a slice of life feel to it that is helped driven to it. There's such a great depth to it. I love it so much. The character relations, the ties, just--UGH. I love it. 10/10 please give more.

I don't know what it is but when ever I see this it always makes me want to cut my hair into that cute little bob even though I know it wouldn't look good.
Anyway, so far I love this and I cannot wait for more!

I agree with the previous poster, and i'm also a sucker for women in short bobs.
If this series continues the way it's been for the past 3 chapters then it's going to be very interesting. It's very slice of life, something i truly enjoy in a story.
Another great thing is the art, love the way the characters are drawn.
Can't wait to read more of this!

Mushroom heads are cute.

This has nothing to do with the fact that I've also cut my hair into a short bob like Momoko and the fact that now we both look like mushroom heads. I've just finished the remaining chapters in Volume 3 over my lunch break, and I have to say, Wow, what an emotional roller coaster.

I love the fact that Nemu Youko never forgets to tickle our throats and make us laugh, despite the later chapters catering to a more serious undertone. This coming from her first long running series makes it all the more impressive.

All the characters - from the perverted Taki, the mature Doumoto, to Wajima, their yakuza-like salesman, are all entertaining to watch and grow on you. Also seeing Momoko develop not only as a person, but as an "employee" is one of reasons to stick with this comic until the end.

Definitely worth a read if you're looking for a good light-hearted Josei.
