The government, after failing to recover the city, abandons Tokyo and moves the capital. The survivors form a society with no laws. This manga is fantastic and I wish it was fully scanlated. The way the story is told feels extremely epic and grand and the artwork is some of Go Nagai's best. Please ignore residentgrigo's lame-ass e-celeb meme opinions

He's an idiot who didn't even read the manga, and spreading the word of an equally retarded Youtube Reviewer.

This is a classic manga for a reason, and it's nowhere near as bad or nasty as the 3-Part OVA.

This Slum King is well documented already and Bennett The Sage didn´t even review the equally abhorred OVA which is banned in Australia/Germany when he reviewed in for real so you know what to expect.
Just look at the categories and know that cannibalistic futanari rape (yes that is a sentence) will show up and it isn´t the worst part of the narrative. Dick slicing and then devouring, child murder/rape and so on are in it too with no further meaning to back them up so this is a gore porno only. The first few volumes were published as Shounen which is just lovely and the art is meh at best. The broken continuity and tone make no sense, the cameos are a disgrace and i hate these characters already so let´s stop here. One day a group will unleash the entire thing on the world but i had my fill a decade ago. Till then you will have to imagine the fire or RUN FOR YOUR LIFE/SANITY.
Why is this manga still ongoing from time to time? It may have lacked an ending but it did enough harm already...
Berserk reigns supreme on the other end of the spectrum and only his Dante Shinkyoku (8,5/10) which i reviewed and to a lesser degree Mugen Utamaro (7/10) should be read. Both are also adaptations.
Amon - Devilman Mokushiroku (6/10) is the only part of the Devilman mythos i can give to other people without fearing a lawsuit but the unfinished 80s OVA was admittedly an improvement.
Fun fact: Sho Aikawa wrote the OVAss for both VJ and Urotsukidoji but he also wrote most of the first FMA anime. Doesn´t this put it´s misguided gecko ending in perspective?
