This hands-down the best Mononoke doujinshi I've read yet. It was a very interesting idea to let us see the Medicine Seller's own reactions to the scents in the incense battle. The execution and atmosphere feels appropriately similar to that in Mononoke, despite the art style being very different. And despite the fact that the Medicine Seller is displaying emotion and regret here, something he never, ever does, he still feels in-character.

The art isn't so fantastic, although part of that may be blamed on the scan quality. Toning is especially amateur. It is used effectively, though.
