The fourth story in particular is...I don't even have the words for it, lmao. Probably "offensively stupid". Guy is raped, chained up, and almost stabbed by his stepfather, and at the end not only does the mfer get away scot free, but the stepson keeps talking to him like nbd. Wot. Not to mention that the stepson's love interest knows about the sexual abuse part and even cracks jokes about it. Disgusting tbh.

The first story is fine until the bit at the ending where the uncle comes back. It was already sus but the ending makes it tenfold, lol. The second story is the most OK of the bunch, and even that's not saying much—but at least it's less rapey and more of a funny misunderstanding plot.

Stop making me want MORE! I feel like a dark, twisted Disney princesses every time I read a good one from her! LIKE GIVE ME THE INCEST! I DON'T CARE IF IT'S WRONG ANYMORE! THEY WERE SO ADORABLE, AND GAWD, I LOVE men with that guitarist ghost's and his reincarnations hairstyle! I need MOOOOOOOORE!

I liked the first story for its sweet (in personality) Elvis-haired 80's Japanese punk guy, but I wound up absolutely pissed at the fourth one (with the labrador); "No one else other than Kaoru has the right to judge [this pitiable lost-dog-like man for the years of sexual abuse he put Kaoru through]"...uh, YES THEY DO. They SHOULD judge him! It doesn't matter if he's like a lost dog, if he even is (I don't see it, and anything the author tries to set up is expressed through two lines and is an incredibly weak argument); he should have no excuse for what he did! If you're going to portray him seriously as a rapist, don't tack on a feeble excuse right at the very end to try to make his character suddenly unjudgeable. And I mean, even the seme guy wasn't likable with his typical if blase seme-like manipulation (the way they first wound up having sex was confusing, but it come to think of it, it was at least dubiously consensual, portrayed in a "seme tops uke aggressively" manner), but I can't even articulate how much its warped message at the end pissed me off without cursing up a storm, so I'm just going to leave it at that...

I don't remember all her dramatic works, but with this particular one-shot, in short, it's like she thought about portraying it seriously (instead of just smut like a lot of yaoi, though there are others like this one), but didn't bother looking into the social and psychological consequences of the situations she put her characters through, and as a result played it up as cardboard cut-out drama instead with a weak and terrible message tacked on at the end. Her comedies I do remember; they're usually mercifully more light-hearted and better written for it.

I like this one alot so far, the first story is verrryy original and good, and I've read alot of yaoi so thats a pretty big statement Can't wait to see the other oneshots (oh, and also veeerrry steamy ;D)
