After like 5 or 6 chapters it got so boring and there was no romance at all. I mean how can some1 be interested with just cutting. Also i don't understand y she would hide her talent. Its not that funny either and I found Narumi to be so annoying

This did not leave me with big warm fuzzy feelings. It was cute but cheesy. There was no depth to the characters everything was just surface appeal. The art was well drawn.

As a matter of fact... it's kinda rare to have a girl superior to a guy. really. that's what that has kept me reading this manga. and the fact that it also has it's focus on hairstyling, it made me more interested on it just like 'Skip Beat!' to showbiz. I like it.

I may not be that in to hairstyling but I might learn a lot of things that life might teach us in person someday, right?

True. there are chapters that made me wanna skip. only that i have to bear with boredom, i made it to the interesting part of the manga. it's totally awesome.

I admire manga with a heroine with so much power and impact. nice personality too.

i like it. that's why i'm planning to really finish it..

I read to around the 4th book and I was very VERY bored. It's was very repetative and I felt like it was just a waste of time. I was hoping for at least a little romance by that time and I wasnt getting any. I thought the main character was cute and I liked her personality but at the same time I didnt like it how she didnt want anyone to know about her talent. The main guy is really annoying.
So I dropped the series and just for laughs I looked at the ending and I was very dissapointed that the guy JUST confesses on the last page.
10 books and he JUST confesses.
Now I dont know if there was any romances between books 5-10 but it couldnt have been that much.

I personally found this series to be very dissapointing

At first, I didn't really want to read it because the name of the manga didn't sound appealing to me. I'm really glad that after reading a couple of positive reviews I decided to give it a try.
I just loved the story. Fortunately, it didn't revolve around love (since I find those mangas kind of boring), and the humor was the best part. I really found it hilarious.
The art is not bad either, and I liked the ending too. I totally recommend it.

its really funny!! actually i laughed a lot while reading this!! actually my grandpa actually scolded me because i was laughing by myself while staring at the computer screen!! so i kindda get the atmosphere in which there is some bad tempered person that is scolding your back but you dont give a damn because your to relaxed reading something!!

fufufufufu..life is surprisingly good...

i really like this even though its a bit too long..the comedy really helped a lot!!

and then im off to BP stage 2!!

(Some spoilers, especially about the ending) too many random characters showing up with no pasts, plus the characters aren't developed at all. the author should have focused on developing these characters. plus, why is Iori dating narumis sister? wasnt narumis sister dating that guy that said he wanted to be her prince?? plus, it was so random that Aoyama fell for ken and forgot Ochiai. i also think it would have been more original if kiri had been with Ochiai (who liked her longer) rather than narumi (who changed too quickly to liking her, but i guess the sparks were there for awhile). we never know what kiri is thinking i also dont even know when she fell in love with narumi, they just seperated at the end and ten years pass and they are together. but it was cute over all, not a deep story though. another weird thing is that the message in this story is that changing your appearance can solve your problems which is ridiculous, a new look can make you more confident but all these people change so much just from a simple makeover. the only realistic thing is that even after 10 years Ochiai still loves kiri (which was sweet i loved the extras at the end). another thing that bugged me is all these annoying people that SP has contests with, they were all just losers, they would do such stupid things to win, and then they'd change from jerks to nice in one page.

I really love this manga. The plot and subject is unique and different from others and I think the artwork is clean and pretty. Koshiba Kiri is probably one of the most amazingly different and original female protagonists in shoujo manga history. I love her because of her sarcastic, monotonous, heck-care attitude. And yet, she still has room to care about friends and family despite her indifference. I also love that she's the star hair stylist and does not lose out to the main male protagonist (which is the case in lots of other stories out there, not just manga).

This is a light and fun read. I highly recommend it to anyone. Narumi Shogo is also a rather handsome male lead and it's great to see the male lead NOT be a ladie's man and actually become irritated by the flocking harems.

The romance is slow to develop and slow to finish, but I think I like the focus on hair styling and whatnot more.

this manga is really awesome, Kiri is the best shoujo heroine I've ever seen. I love how she's not stupid and dense. This is a wonderful comedy. though i haven't read to that yet, Beauty pop sequel has the genre of romance. CANT WAIT TO READ IT. >_> but this one starts hinting towards it. did i mention kiri is awesome?
