Wasn't all that good

Honestly, everything but the ending was good. It was a good love triangle manga, innocent and pure, but the ending grated on my nerves. I guess the only thing I can say is that it was kinda boring.

That was good. Seriously. I never ever ever thought that love triangles and unrequited love could leave such a warm and sweet feeling. It's also quite rare that I didn't dislike any of the characters and instead, I just wanted to hold them all and pat their heads... Super cute. Great narration. Loved it.

I usually avoid love triangles like the plague. Very rarely are they necessary to the betterment of the story and in most cases, only serves as a trite plot device to keep things moving. It probably doesn't help that the heroine always ends up with the jerkface either. Here, things are a little different. The setup is different from the typical, and the characters, though fairly predictably, are engaging and likeable. I like that the focus is not just on the melodrama, but on the dynamics of their friendship too. The humour, too, is well done and it's works well in keeping the atmosphere light and easygoing.

The only thing that bothered me was the pacing of the plot... It's probably because of the limited length of the story, but everything felt a little too rushed towards the end. Because of this, some of the script came off as cheesy and over-the-top.

Overall, it was a cute read. Katakoi works great as a happy little pick-me-up and I would gladly revisit the story another time.

The way the characters are drawn makes their heads look big, but at the same time, it gives the manga more of a 'shoujo feel' (in my opinion) which pretty much means its cute...
All the misunderstanding and comedy is hilariously cute, so are the small romantic moments, and the arguments between the characters makes you just feel sad ..... T.T
Himemiya is a good friend towards Sekiya, and the fact that Yuuki is dense, just adds more cute comedy into this manga.
So, to sum it up, this manga is... Cute....

This was really cute... But I strongly dislike open ended endings. Grr!! Just tell me clearly how it ends!! Don't keep me guessing. Sheesh! But I loved the characters. Yuuki was my fave. He's so slow but soo cute at the same time because he didn't understand things about himself but could clearly see things with other people as long as it had nothing to so with him haha The art was just OK I did however really love the one shot at the end of Vol. 1 (really tugged the heartstrings)

Really cute <3 I really like the way the story is sometimes narrated by a third person. The development of the plot is good as well. The oneshot in vol 1 is really cute, too. *feeling high XD*

I honestly would have given this manga a 10 but I guess endings that
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
leave you thinking "I wonder what would happen next?"
is just not my taste.
But only for those who have finished the series
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
doesn't the ending with all of them together and Yuuki pulling onto Himemiya's hair and Kasai laughing at the back with Sekiya make the reader think "Those pairs are going to end up with each other." That's the ending that got me thinking and kind of irritated me a bit but it was a good technique done by the author!

Although the manga's plot is actually pretty common with the Love Triangle and the bad boy falling in love with the girl who likes his best friend kind of thing, the author still made it so original and not like the predictable/cliche mangas out there.
I like how each one of them helped one another with sorting their feelings, doing what's best, and supporting each other even if you like that person. I honestly think that without Himemiya and Kasai, this manga would just be like any other love triangles, so it was a perfect combination of characters with the ones that know a lot about love and the ones that are pretty much begginers.
The art is absolutely adorable and there are also some scenes that made me laugh because of the cute chibis drawn by the author. (Chapter 9 page 12: Yuuki on the top right side)
I think the manga could've been longer by a few chapters though. The whole story is just so interesting that it makes you want to keep reading.

Like the other comments, I too despise love triangles. Realistically, yes, there would be love triangles in most relationships whether you want them or not. Unfortunately, whenever most authors attempt to incorporate a love triangle into their story, the result is a mess of stupid drama and tension that makes it clear that the only reason why the triangle was added in the first place was to "give the story some dynamics" in a sense. They're rarely thought out properly, and in the end you have three characters who do nothing but be annoying (the person in the middle often is the worst case as you see nothing but constantly changing feelings for no reason).

So now we've come to this manga: a story that is itself a love triangle. I plunged in after reading the other comments about the manga, hoping to experience the same satisfaction despite the love triangle. I can happily say yes, I did. The triangle here is almost exactly how they should be written; it's nearly perfect. The relationships between the characters are played out beautifully, and the personalities of the characters definitely helped make the love triangle more tolerable (if not likeable). The love tension between everyone is clearly strong but it doesn't go out of proportion like other series, staying at a nice mellow level that keeps you interested but doesn't risk turning you away. I'm always wishing for the best for everyone, no longer am i crying out in anger "Why would you do that?!" or "Make up your mind!" towards the characters.

My only dissatisfaction is when the fourth character was introduced (spoilers oh no except not really, she's right there on the cover for this Baka-Updates page) she didn't get much exposure at all. She definitely aided in the dynamics of the relationships (and helped me because I much rather prefer love squares, good ol' even numbers) but because she came in late in a rather short series of only 9 chapters she didn't have much time to make a presence. It's a shame, I really liked watching the love square with all the different personalities running around, but the series ended too soon for me. Maybe one more volume would've done it, but in the end I think the way everything wrapped up was pretty good too.

If you enjoy love triangles, then you don't need to read my review or any of the others for that matter. You would already be reading the manga by now. If you're tired of them like I am, you will be pleasantly surprised by how good this one is. I can't recommend it enough.

Once again a hit by the same author of Last Game! I have to say, I didn't start this with high expectations, because I hate love triangles, but I decided to give it a go purely because of the author. In short, it is fabulous! The characters are or grow to be more likable in their own ways, especially Yuki who has to be one of the most unique members of a love triangle I have ever seen. The interactions are great, and the drawing is clean and pretty with a distinctive style.

I hate love triangles. I find them irritiating, and boring, and usually contrived. So whenever I saw this manga was described as essentially a manga about love triangles, I'd walk away.

But I love Last Game, I was bored, and the tags looked really, really interesting, so I finally gave in. I was happy I did - this manga is very, very good - I've never come across a shoujo done in quite this way.

I found the narrator-style progression interesting, and the characterisation is very entertaining. The two male leads make me crack up especially.
