Cliche, but better than most

It's not exactly spectacular, the plot isn't really original, the characters aren't that special. It is, though, better drawn, written, and executed than most other similar shoujos. The characters are more bearable, less annoying than other shoujos too, which I believe is quite important if you've been blindly reading lots of them.
If you're looking for that once-in-a-lifetime masterpiece find, I suggest you look elsewhere, but save it for when you've swam through a sea of bad shoujos and just need a boost of hope. Otherwise, it's good enough if you want to avoid those unsatisfying pieces and just want a decent, enjoyable light read.

I liked this one very much. Although it is full of shoujo-cliche, it's much better than others i had the misfortune to read.
The heroine is also more likable than those i encounter in the genre.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
This time i could understand clearly the reason for the break-up. Not just because his family wished it, or because she doesn't want to hurt the fiancee. But rather because she understands that she's lacking. To him there are no flaws that would hinder his career; but she feels these flaws would....and i honestly have to agree. She's clumsy, has no etiquette, and her understanding of the theater is limited. If i were marrying my son to a woman like that, i would refuse vehemently.

The best part about this story was Kazuki. He's not cold, like the stereotypical shoujo hero, and i like it better that he's no saint...Yet he makes it clear, she's the first to win his heart, without reservation.

You know, the usual shoujo but it was very well done and adorable. I would definitely recommend this to any shoujo craving lover who enjoys those once in a while tingly sensations of romance. It wasn't anything overboard, just the perfect balance of a cute and clueless heroine matched with an irresistible male specimen not likely found in your own backyard which may induce lustful wishing to no avail. (sigh) anyway, great read and one of my favorites!!

Favorite part:
Mother: "Sumire, dinner's ready"
Sumire: "I don't want it"
Mother: *pales* What's wrong Sumire, are you sick? For to say you don't want to eat"
Lol, that was hilarious, can't help but think my mother would do the same thing.

i agree that it has a lot of cliches. the plot is not too complicated. but i do believe that this is a cool manga. the art is quite superb as well. i especially love it when Sumire and Kazuki are in their chibi form, so cute. overall, i do recommend this. biggrin so read it when you have the time.

I was taken back by this mangaa!!
I loved everything in it! The Art was so kyaaa and suited the situations so perfectly>>
I really admire Mitsuki for creating such a beautiful work piece which was just outstanding.

Bishies dancing was just the perfect idea to fit the story of a protagonist coming to her hometown to find her true love just like her mother<3

This manga has excelled with the scenes and events which happen and the problems that the protagonist faced were so heart-breaking and i teared up. This manga was so strongly developed in love that i have got to recommend this to all you shoujo-romance fans who want something fresh and unique!

TOP MARKS for my favee mangaa

now, i'm the type where if i start reading something, i have to finish it.

so despite how generic and cliche it was, i trudged on a continued reading, hoping for something new.

my hopes remain unanswered and i am now in search of an actual plotful story

however, it was a light/simple read. can't say that it was terrible :3

now, i usually wait until i read it all to make a comment, but i don't think i want to finish this one (yet.) it kinda seems like a bit of a waste of time. yeah, the guy IS to die for! he's swoon-worthy, but he's the kind of guy that just rubs me the wrong way. i read half the first volume and skimmed through the rest, but when i read about the major cliche at the end of volume one i just went.. "... really?"

i dunno. for now, on hold. maybe later i'll read it. but the characters just completely didn't leave an impresstion on me at all. the heroine seemed to be like, "i'm going to forget you.. NEVER MIND! wait.. yeah, i hate you.. NO, nevermind.." D> ahhh! and the guy seemed that way too, only in a more cold way. ><;

however, this might be your cup of tea! if it interests you, read it. you might like it. i, however, don't think i do. (which is weird because i loved her swimming manga..)

This is basically what happens:

Spoiler (highlight to view)
So there is some gluttonous girl who is uncultured, average, and emotional. She consumes a gigantic amount of food and yet she manages to not look huge. So she meets a bishie prince who is the heir/dancer/playboy one day. So this prince says that she's the first love, they fall in love, yadayada. Then there is some jealous/suitable/rich fiancee and the jealous younger brother who wants to be heir. They wreak havoc. RandombreakupLOL. Then everything is ALRIGHT again.

Koi, Hirari is too cliched. Usually this type of thing happens with poor girl meets rich boy. I wish there was a little more of a twist and this could've worked out for me. Art is great and wonderful. If you are a fan of nice art go read this. But the plot may be a bit bland.

Mmm nothing special. I would have given this 7 but I found the last chapter very annoying because it was too simplistic in solving all the problems that it dragged the quality down so much.
