To the anti-shota reviewers:

I must say that I'm extremely sick of people reading shota and then complaining about all of the young boy sex in it. Seriously, this manga is labeled plainly as shota, so why read it if it you aren't a shota fan? To the person who said "why bother with the shota?": they bother with it because many people LOVE shota. Its a hugely popular, totally legal (they're just unrealistic drawings after all) genre, and thus mangakas aren't "sticking their neck out" when they write it. On the contrary, by writing shota they guarantee themselves a loyal fan base. So, as many yaoi and shota defenders have been saying since the beginning of time--if you don't like it, don't read it! And look at the freakin' genre labels beforehand!

yes, most stories in this manga are just smut shota, but the last story about alladin was brilliant. there was no smut content in it at all. so 10/10 for just that story, 5/10 for others and loved all of himawari souya's art.

Just the story about Aladdin is good story! The others is just ordinary and nothing really good about them. So, i give 8.5/10 for story about aladdin and 4.0/10 for others! smile

Mostly smut, but...

I did not like most of it, for shota it was fine, but for the premise, and what I was expecting it was all just disappointing. However as many have said preceding this the Aladdin story at the end was almost a saving grace, I was glad to at least get something out of it.

Not recommended for anyone who hopes for anything with depth, or not prepared for lots of shota smut.

I agree with FaeryGoddyss. The premise is excellent. I would love to see a well-thought out BL take on the classic fairytales (preferably not the Disney-i-fied versions).
This collection seemed like it was drawn and written in a hurry. It was unsatisfying and annoying. A colossal waste of time and potential.
And why bother with all the shota? If you are going to use shota, which is risky-business in the first place, why use it for a meaningless, silly story? Why stick your neck out for something that isn't even in the slightest interesting.

they are ridiculous shota one-shots that are not worth the read at all. It’s not because they are shota that makes it particularly bad but rather the mangaka has no imagination and creativity at all. Even though the stories had been changed slightly to allow for the shota/yaoi situations, the manga was trite and boring.
I was very disappointed with this manga for it had such great premise in my opinion-a classic fairytales with a yaoi twist-had great potentials.

Y Fairy Tales

This had that sort of potential to be good with the idea. Twisting the fairy tales we all love yaoi-ified? I loved the idea, didnt like the outcome. The stories were short, a bit odd and some of the fairy tales arent common at all. I hadnt even heard of a few of them, and frankly the yaoi versions didnt make me want to find out. I gave it a four because the art isnt so bad.

Besides the tales being half assed, I hadnt expected them ALL to be shota and shota...well, not my cup for what I assume to be obvious reasons. The whole thing was ridiculous.
