What a shame . . .

I'm quite appalled at the number of high ratings for this manhwa. The plot was quite interesting for me, however. Another alter-ego in the past? Count me in... But that all bombed later on.

I've met many, many dumb, reckless manga/manhwa characters, but none have chased me away from a story as Shin Bia had.

I'm quite disappointed, actually. This one truly had me hooked. She was strong, independent in the beginning, but she started to become a total baboon later on. Had her intelligence lowered? I'm quite disgusted at her continuing actions of escaping. She truly has no thought for Prince Yoo-Baek's feelings.

And ah, Prince Yoo-Baek. Please, do not get me started on him. He was quite charming, but his ignorance for Shin Bia annoyed me, but that was one trait I let slide by. Prince Mu-Yeong was interesting, actually. But when he started to fall for her... Typical story line.

Shin Bia. Well, haven't I summarized her up already? An annoying, rude, idiotic, thoughtless, reckless excuse for a character. I know some girls from mangas/manhwas are stupid, but she truly repulsed me to the bitter end. I have never felt this extreme dislike for a character before, but there's a first time for everything.

All in all, I gave this up. My extreme dislike for Shin Bia ultimately made me lose interest in this particular story. What a shame. If Shin Bia acted with more intelligence, this story would have been good. My final comment on this is, 'If you can handle the stupidity, by all means, read this manhwa.'

It's annoying

Shin Bia has to be one of the most annoying "heroines" I have ever read in a manhwa, and there are quite a few annoying ones in the manhwa world. She's thrown into another world, but she's hostile to everyone. She's completely ungrateful, ill mannered, and often seems downright stupid. She doesn't think before acting, she doesn't listen to people who are trying to help her, and she constantly talks about strength, but it stupid about what it means to be strong. I can usually warm up to characters that come off rough at the beginning like she does, but her behavior is so atrocious and without justification that is just irritates me. All the other characters are more interesting, but she's like a fly in the ointment. It's really hard to get past what a stupid, arrogant, ungrateful little b*tch she is and enjoy any other elements of the story. She sucks as a character, and it ruined the story for me.

spent a whole day to finish this manga. no matter the previous comments, crazy girl shin bia was a good read. it's like one of those stories that just grabs you. but there were so many things that i'd wished for while reading it. i wished that, while yoo-baek was all lovey dovey with shin bia during the first half of the series, she wouldn't be so stupid. also i would've liked to see yoo-baek and shin bia's child. lol typical but w/e. bigrazz

i don't know why some people think that this manhwa is no good or not satisfying. But for me i think this is really great! compared to other HMR's work, i think this manga is the best. It has a lot of bishies and the scenes weren't boring at all. I had really fun while reading this manhwa and Bia is the best protagonist in all HMR's work. Maybe sometimes she's annoying but that makes the manhwa good, well obviously the tittle is Crazy Girl Shin Bia of course she's bound to be crazy! LOL and about the ending i like it! so what if she didn't have a child its still good. and it doesn't leave you hanging like her other works..! so overall im satisfied! * a real good read smile)

I'm at chapter 4, and I have to say that I rarely comment at such an early stage but I really have to.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
For now I like Bia, what I don't get is the prince that was supposed to be in love with the other Bia, I mean they look the same yet he doesn't recognize her, only her pendant then he starts kissing her, is he retarded? Then he comes to the conclusion that she is the one with amnesia and that kissing is the cure. Oh well, could be worst, he could be both stupid and ugly, he's just stupid.

Edit1: Chapter 8 priceless, my rating will increase at least for that scene.

Edit2: I really enjoy this story, and I like Bia, although at times, ok all the time, is very rush and kinda self-centered. Chapter 59 is the first time she actually thinks about her surroundings and the situation she is in. But for some reason, right now, I'm more interested in the second prince and his fiancee (^w^), I want more emphasis on them.

Edit3: I'm at chapter 67 and up this point I have to admit that I like a lot more prince Mu-Yeong, than Yoo-Baek. And right now I'm rooting for him, what I dislike is that I'm sure that the mangaka will do something to make him lose face, and increase Yoo-Baek's popularity, cuz dah he's the main male lead.

Edit4: Chapter 77 it turned out I was right, what a surprise jeez. I really don't like this part.

Final Edit: The story was nice, not as good as Red River, but still ok. The art was absolutely gorgeous, my fav bishie was actually Mu-Yeong. As a side note I kinda wished that he would have been the one to end with Bia, he was by far the most developed character. As for Bia, despite the somewhat negative view of the other reviewers, I really liked her. She wasn't the smartest female lead, but at least she was strong and also fallowed her heart, which is a change if you think about all the goody-goody oh so pure and noble shoujo heroines. Finally Yoo-Baek was pretty much the knight in shining armor type of character, he had very few emotional moments, few weaknesses. He was perfect, which made him perfectly boring, that's why I prefered Mu-Yeong over him.
Oh well overall it was a nice read, and I really enjoyed it.

Likeable

Although I've only read a few of Hwang Mi Ri's manhwas, I feel that this one was the only one that didn't eventually blur into one big general plotline with the rest of her manhwas. It definitely had comedy going for it and as the story went along it got easier to get hooked. Also, pretty traditional clothing smile pro for anything.

That said, I will admit I took something like a 6 month break from this manga near the start because the plot just wasn't really moving and I restarted reading around chapter 65 - by then the plot had by far improved.

Another flaw was the lack of characters with depth. The guys all seemed to be waaaaaaaaaay too obsessed with Bia (sometimes borderline psychotically so) who in turn seemed to go through phases of being strong character, then weak character then strong character and then ends up in between the two?

Spoiler (highlight to view)
For example, Mu-yeong is probably the best example of this. Fine, he was a womanizer and then falls deeply in love with Bia - they spend time together, he falls deeper in love, he goes off giving his countries secrets to her. Cute (well kind of). Then he goes and captures her and tortures her and makes her watch her love's nerves get chopped...O_O

When you look at the big picture, all you can wonder is how none of the characters just decided they had enough of her childish, bratty and rude behavior and just executed her. xD

The ending was also very 'meh'. It felt rushed and spontaneous considering the rest of the plot. But well, it was a dramatic ending I suppose.

But overall, it was likeable smile

you shouldn't start reading this

it's an okay manhwa for me. Although it is said that Bia is strong, she was kidnapped, lost in fist fights, etc so it makes me questioned whether she is as strong as she appears to be in the very first few chapters. I get annoyed when she is trying to escape when she is in fact, is in love with the prince and to-be husband. Why would she run away? She doesn't really expressed why except that she has to run away. I know she wants to go back to the present time but she doesn't seem to try to find a way to do it but rather just trying to escape and provoke the person that she likes. The conflict starts to disappear after several chapters and takes a path of "damsel in distress" kind of story. It feels like a historical romance in the end and I feel rather disappointed with this HWR's works.

after ch38,
I changed my opinions. This woman is crazy as the title says. I feel like screaming: "Just go back to your real world and leave this people at peace." Even an idiot has a limit. I think the author just wants to keep the story going on so she can get more money. My opinion. The story just went straight down the drain for me. I just want to know the ending so people who haven't started reading this, don't start! I already warned you

after chapter 60+, the pace started to pick up again. Hopefully the ending won't be crappy. But I still don't like the use of damsel in distress in this story. Why didn't HMR make Bia as a stubborn but weak girl. That will make the story better without her saying she "used" to be strong (before time and place warp suck all her power)
