This isn't just a cutesy comedy, and it isn't boring at all. The premise might seem ridiculous, but Annyeong, Pi doesn't do too badly as an action-y comedy with drama and fantasy elements; and it's definitely not just slapstick, so I have no idea what jeffreymgibson was reading. And the oddest thing is that despite certain nonsensical aspects that were included for the sake of comedy (especially the talking chick and cat), it actually made more sense than a lot of other, more "serious" shoujo I've read. Frustratingly, some of the humour was lost due to the fact that the scanlator had left all the text outside the speech bubbles (ie: the funny asides and instances of breaking the fourth wall) untranslated.

The characters are a bit cliché, yes, but they aren't the typical annoying shoujo clichés. Everyone's pretty strong (emotionally and physically), for one thing, and since no one requires saving, it's always more a case of "saving each other," which I personally love. Unlike in typical reincarnation stories, neither the protagonist nor the antagonist have the slightest desire to abandon their current lives for the sake of a past life they barely remember, and while the supporting cast buy the reincarnation story pretty easily, they're also much more interested in the here and now, which was a nice touch. The flashbacks to their past life were also handled well, cropping up at just the right moments to help the plot along without hindering the mood set by the present-day storyline.

In conclusion: a fun read to pass the time. One of the few manhwa I didn't find annoying and melodramatic, in fact.

I completed this. It was hard to get through because it got really boring. The little chick is cute, but the rest of the characters are pretty damn annoying, including the main character. What's with the tape on his face, I mean, it's always there. Also, the info here is wrong, it's not a romance at all. All the characters are guys except for one side character and of course Boks a chicken. For the most part, it's just a slapstick comedy. The plots not really very good at all. The only selling point is a cute chicken, but that only goes so far.

This is an adorable series so far. The little cute bird and his little quirky thoughts sets the series apart. The plot and the characters aren't very fleshed out, and one of them is an exaggerated cliche. Nonetheless these downfalls didn't hamper my enjoyment at all. If you like cute reads and cute things, I would recommend giving this a try.
