Really like this manga. Goofy yet great. Artstyle remind me of old manga feom the 90s yet with modern look to it. not mutch to say. Just enjoying the story and puzzle. maybe the manga does drag on and kind wish the story just focus on the main character but oh well. plenty of other manga out there that have flaws to. Im always looking foward to each vol. The ending was a huge disappointment like the author wanted to end there stoey just there and cancel it.

it is way better than twd by far. It is the life of some common guy, and i loved the fact that the author took the time to introduce it to us. I find it not boring at all.
I really like the art.
I really hope that the scanlations put all the chapters that arent traslated yet

I'm sorry, but why people consider this thing good after having to suffer through 3 volumes of slow idiocy is completely beyond me. It might get better after that, but I can't stand it anymore.

Compare this to The Walking Dead

(This criticize is base purely on my own aesthetic and i'm not western so don't expect my good english)
I've read it through vol.12 now and gonna stop here cause the author cannot focus on good character, hero or the character that should be focused, anything that he did was just focus on bad guy, weird guy just to drag readers attention and curiosity along for the sake of bringing more volume out, sometime I feel japanese people are really annoying.

Mythical Zombie Apocalypse, a rare thing

Unlike the normal Biological Zombie Apocalypse you see nowaday, this setting is bio-mythical plague. It infect by bio means, but there's a mythical component to it.
It's a rare thing in this genre.

It takes to the middle of volume 2 to get going, though~

Slow development

Don't get me wrong, I thing this is the best quality of a story you can get from a zombie apocalypse. The only thing is that the author commits too much in details in each episode, making it a slow story. Anyways; you should give it a chance if you'd like to read a masterpiece.

Zombie Survival Manga
by great_k
October 28th, 2014, 5:56pm
Rating: 8.5  / 10.0
The core of the manga is a survival series. Feels like a hybrid of Freesia, Gantz, Battle Royale and high school of the dead all rolled into one.
Definitely not a feel good series as this manga has a kill em all vibe. Besides Hiromi and Hideo every one else is just cannon fodder.
Another warning besides extremely high character turnover, as in most survival media there is a fair share of sexual exploitation, back stabbing and physical intimidation by those who have power. Also plenty of adultery takes place in the manga.
Our MC is not quite right mentally as are a lot of the other characters introduced.
The grotesque horror combined with the quite loony nature of the characters almost make this feel like a gag manga until another tragic moment occurs which quickly sobers up the mood.
A very interesting read but there are a number elements in the series which make it feel highly unrealistic.

You get used to the art

Any other art style couldn't do this good a job with zombies. The MC has just a touch of heroism, just the right amount to make this as realistic as possible while also providing an enjoyable reading experience. Always on the move with a couple of others, blowing zombie brains off with a shotgun. Despite zombies having taken over the cities with only small pockets of humans remaining, our MC still has scruples about breaking and entering, "stealing", etc. Basically, while law and order is no more, he still shows a sometimes exasperating concern for the law. A nice quirk. And the zombies. The zombies, people. You ain't never seen zombies this creepy. And you ain't never seen zombies this zombie.

Good stuff.
Did i say it again? That means it's a fact.
Even though it's not my genre since i rather play Arma 2biggrinayz than reading someone else story.
But still, i enjoy it and even give it a "9". It's realistic in term of psychology.
And even i am not eager to wait for new chapters, i still feel obligated to give it a "9".

The Best Action Manga I've Read
by cecropiamoth

Rating: 10.0  / 10.0
...and a great psychological manga too. For me, the psychological part is the foundation of the success of the action part. Most of the first volume is taken up building the character of the protagonist. He's an anxiety-ridden guy who longs to be a full-time, successful mangaka...and/or a Hero. Later, unlike most of us who harbor such dreams, he finds himself in a protracted situation where he has no choice but either to be brave and resourceful, or die. And the rest of many chapters of the manga show how, over time, he struggles to be the man he's always wished to be.

"The worm turns" is one of the oldest of story tropes, and this manga does it up proud. The action-struggle part of this story has all the danger and suspense of the best action stories, with the added suspense of waiting to see if this nervous-wreck type guy is finally going to break down under the ongoing stress. I read all the then-available chapters (143) over the course of a couple of days. It was impossible to put down. Any man who's ever admitted to himself that he has a substantial streak of fear in him will probably love it too. Remember, courage isn't having no fear, but fearing and acting anyway.

(And now, in the 200+ chapters, we're getting some romance, and the story seems to be beginning to veer into high-concept science fiction, which I look forward to because it's likely to make the manga even cooler—if that's possible.)
