romance aside, I'm having mixed feeling about this oneshot.
On one hand it's good that the female lead didn't change her personality just because of a guy (thak god, because I loved her personality)
On the other... because what changed were her looks and not her personality, it's disgusting that the way her peers viewed her changed so much because of that. It's like the moral is "as long as you're good-looking your personality doesn't matter cause you'll be well-liked", whiiich you might argue is what happens in the real world, but still...

Why am I writing a review for a dumb oneshot when my fingers are freezing cold- making it hard to type? To be honest I had ignored this manga for too long... There was something about the cover that put me off but now that I challenged myself to take look at what's in it...I was met with nothing but sheer disappointment. This crappy excuse for a story was so dull and paper width deep.....I almost banged my head. There's nothing unique about the story as far as the plot is concerned. True that it's from the boys POV but it follows the typical path of....."hey! I had a childhood friend. She loved me but god damn was I oblivious. I said something silly and she took it to heart and decades have passed since then but she still lives her life on it (and as usual I don't remember any of that).She's quite the fugly if you see her but when she takes off her glasses...voila!! She's a MODEL....."
It could never get worse.

This manga is about a girl who has a personality like black coffee, but it's still "as sweet as sugar"—disgustingly so. There's nothing remotely creative about the plot. The male lead is a patronizing, self-entitled ass. The female lead is a mess, with little thought or planning put into her actions. Everything is resolved with a loose wig and a gust of wind.

And on top of that, the story is completely shallow—even for shoujo. What if the girl wasn't pretty enough to become a pin-up model? What would have changed? She would still be a social pariah, and the guy would still be an arrogant jerkoff that helps her when no one else is around, and only because he feels obligated to.

Maybe I'm being too harsh. To expect anything meaningful from something obviously geared towards young girls would be stupid, after all... but something about this manga just irked me.

Not that great. I cant quite put my finger on it. Just a bit stupid. Like who becomes a pinup model so they will become sweet and then have a misunderstanding about modeling in the first place with eachother. Just really dumb and not logical.

It's really sweet and adorable. And the male lead isn't what he seems at all. He's actually trying to protect the girl. The ending is really nice and all.
WARNING!! if you don't like the sweet warm fuzzy feelings, this might not be the manga for you.
BUT!!! i can't say that it will give everyone the warm fuzzies, but it went pretty close with me.
