I was not really into this manga, but when i reach the ending and it said good end?, i was wondering what it meant, then I reach the volume 7 of the manga,
i'll say this, wait for the volume 8 and on wards of his light novel, because you'll cry in a derpressing manner.
but if you like happy endings, finish this manga and walk away dont' every touch the light novels please

This was a funny yet interesting story. The awful thing about this is the way it ended. We have a bunch of plots still open. We have no real conclusion. The story ends essentially as a cliffhanger, with no chance of completion. I would have rated it as a 8 to 9 but the end drops the rating roughly 2 points for me. Maybe if I could read the Lt novel I would not have any issues with it.
Was good while it lasted.

It disappoints me very much to see this manga get axed. It was all going great until out of no where they just end the manga in the middle of the story. It's a to be continued ending that is never going to be continued.

This is a hard story to judge.
Its based on a light novel so its only natural for it to be verbose. The problem is that its the THIRD series set in the same universe and the author wrote this based on the assumption that readers had already read the first and second series and that remains true in the manga version so newcomers will be flat-out confused.
Although the story is verbose, its still a manga and doesn't convey the same level of depth as the light novel. The comedy and ecchi arguably make up for it, but its nothing "MUST READ!" worthy.

The first volume of this series was actually good enough for me to seek out the novels its based on. I'm not sure how faithful the manga will be to the novels' story in volumes 2+ but so far it hasn't deviated too much. But based on the novels there are some things that should be clarified. The ITS syndrome that WuFu talks about is actually an important part of the story and the prince's character (it's not simply fan-service). Second this is actually based on the third series the author has set in this world and doesn't really give you any background on the world itself until later in the story (good because of the mystery, bad because you don't get to see certain connections yet) and I'm not sure if the translation makes this clear when talking about lost tech but this actually takes place many years after the fall of a version of modern day Earth. Also this isn't a action based story. And though there is some action its more of a strategy/deception than a fighting/warfare focused plot.
Basically I'm saying that you shouldn't write this one off impatiently based solely on the first few chapters. The first volume actually leaves off at a very critical point (about halfway through the first novel) and how the second volume plays out will be what makes or breaks the manga version of this story (that's were the background plot will start to be explained [I hope]).
I rate the novels (Vols.1-7) a 10 and I'm giving the manga that out of expectations for future volumes.

Yay first comment!
Anyways, with only 2 chapters released it is hard to judge the worth of this manga but, with 2 chapters released it is possible to give an estimate and hope that it does not go astray.
This manga envolopes a medieval fantasy with sci-fi elements setting with swords, possibly magic/super powers, lost technology, and two different races; (they look the same but one race seems posses powers). The lost technology seems to be based off the technology of the modern era such as motorcycles. As of the 2nd chapter, the lost technology does not seem to be in wide use but only amongst the military and royals.
The story so far centers on the crown prince, a rowdy, slightly perverted, and firm believer of non-violence, and his female body guard while the king is away negotiating an alliance with a neighboring country to fend off the incoming invasion of another country. The crown prince is left in control and he takes matters into his own hands in trying to negotiate peace.
I believe the characters are nicely drawn, the female protagonist is cute and also sometimes puts a check on the prince for times when his ideas fails to be penetrated by his logic. The beginning does contain a few incidents of immature-shounen-teenage-syndrome (what i call really immature and stupid actions that in no way a typical person would do and is added for fan service such as random breast grabbing/skirt flip) but it is the beginning and it probably will fade out as the story continues. By no chance is this story about the stupid actions and adventures of the prince, so far, it seems to be quite serious with the seriousness only broken by the ITS syndrome
