If you like Ellie Mamahara you'll like this one. This was the first book of hers that I ever read, so it's got a special place in my heart. The arts her usual style, which is why I like it. I love the longer limbs for some reason.

I actually found it rather easy to follow as plot goes. It's nothing unheard of as far as SA and yaoi stuff go. Sort of another all boys school, I'm related to the head guy type deal, but still a sweet story.

The end could have been better though.

When I read the summary I thought it sounded really good with the whole rich and poor thing. I was quite disappointed when I read it. It was interesting but it went so fast, things didn't seem to have reason to happen they just did. The story seems to have taken place over some months but when I read it it felt like he was only there for a couple of weeks. Norika arrived at the school and didn't seem to like Yuusuke but all of a sudden they were friends with nothing to cause the sudden change in character.

Also, the characters didn't seem well thought out. There didn't really have personality's and I couldn't really get why they did anything when they did.

I was a bit entertaining but I expected more. The basic plot could have been great if it was thought out properly with a few more chapters. I read other manga by Mamahara Ellie and I enjoyed both the artwork and storylines so I had high hopes for this one too. Unfortunately I didn't notice tell after I read it that the author was Ioka Noel and not Mamahara Ellie. I still enjoyed the art, just they story seemed to be missing every other chapter or so.

This was....well really confusing. Things happened without explaination...and i had no interest in the main couple. I actually was more interested i the YukarixMakoto couple who probably had more depth than the main couple...

...I thought the father was ignored by his wife's family? Why would there randomly be a confession in the middle of the series?

At least the art is great.... if you can get past the blandness.

EDIT: Blandness? Why did I type that... anyway, the story is pure WTF -- not WTF as in random things appearing everywhere but more like "WTF there's no real plot. Summary lied to me!"

it's moderate, but I couldn't help but be more interested in the couple in the sidelines than the actual main couple, Makoto/Yukari. The main couple winded up being too dry for me, too obvious and kind of boring. Yuusuke didn't really have any personality at all. ):

And Norika's father looking younger than him never fails to creep me out.

it's hard to pinpoint what is wrong with this manga. The art is nice enough, the characters are nice enough, the story seems ok but somehow it simply does not work. I personally had a lot of "wha??" moments reading this. Why does a dormitory for the poorer students in an exclusive private school looks like the slums? Why does Norika's father looks younger than Norika? Why is Norika being nominated for president when he's not interested, not qualified and not even popular? what's the deal with Hamada, Norika's mysterious roommate who looks like Yuusuke with long hair?

It also REALLY bothered me that Yuusuke's eyes don't have pupils- it makes him look like an alien. Add to that his very gentle and quiet nature and you get an etherial but very creepy character.

The cover of this book totally threw me off kilter. I seriously thought this was going to be a really awesome manga. I was kind of wrong. I was so confused reading this. I mean, is his name Yamada or Hamada Yukari? It was also really confusing when his name, Norika, sounded just like his mom's name Noriko. I was like totally confused while reading that chapter. The story felt too rushed and left out a lot of pieces. I wanted to see more of Yukari and Makoto (when Yuusuke & Norika went back home). I also wanted to see more of Yuusuke's and Norika's relationship as well.

Overall, it's not the best, but some parts were good.

OMG The eyes are just creepy D: alien eyes, I kept getting freaked out trough the manga >_< and the dad looks the same age as the son, I've hear of young dads and thats ok but this one o_O The plot is weak and sometimes confusing >.> it's a Meh! kinda manga.

totally agree with what grumble_cakes mentioned. this manga was full of wtf moments. couples were looking like wooden puppets without soul, thier emotions were too shallow, every thing were happening too fast or had not logic in it. especially the ending left me with a feeling like " what the hell..." romantic scenes were really stupid. one of the love confession scene's that I read was some thing like this:

Uke: don't think I will let you have sex with other guys when I am here!
Seme: noway! why I wanna have sex with others when I love you?
Uke: good, I love you too, let have sex! *jumps on him*

what the hell....O__o
