This manga has an original premise and interesting storyline. It works in a lot of deep emotions like love, pain, and guilt. It also brings up a lot of questions about the value of life.

However, it never really answered those questions. I'm not sure if the series was prematurely canceled but instead of the villain slowly finding the answers and becoming a normal human, the story just forced a quick ending.

Overall, this manga is definitely worth a read if you like psychological stories that aren't too deep.

Even though I enjoyed this story, it, kind of, wasn't enough. Well, it wasn't too melodramatic, gotta thank for that. But I feel like magaka should've kept rythm of the story as it was, and didn't hurry to end it all in the last volume. I don't know, I 'm not a writer, but cooking up the story took time, and everything had to end in a blink of an eye?
Good manga, but I don't think I'll be interested in reading it again.

A very good manga. The ending was a bit too predictable, and I didn´t like it much, but the story was very interesting, and with a small number of cliches, which is a very good thing. All in all, a 9, mostly because of the ending.

Overall I liked a lo the manga since it explores some aspects of human nature in a very twisted way. So the story is good as well as the plot development. The only drawback is that I did not like the drawing style... seemed a little weird for me, but that is just personal taste.

A bit of love, lots of psychological and sporadic intense action YE!AH!

the bits of love (and scenes) where pint point missile gide action is d acurate mature love, this i liked a lot

The action is sometimes gore like realistic, intense and short, great mental fights

The art just GGGGGGGGGRRRRREAT the menta ilusions superb!! what a great imaginaiton of the mangaka.

The story very complex and u have to think a lot, love how the mangaka digs on hte scharactercs minds and u find out why they are who they are.

The ending, just magnificent, a great way to close a wonderfull story

I didnt give it a 10 because of a bit pull-push excess at the ending but for th rest MARVELOUS STORY MUST READ!

Eternal Sabbath was a good manga. I liked the plot and the idea, but many things could have been improved.
For one, I absolutely despised Mine Kujyou and Sakkaki. Both of them are extremely rash and idiotic in their approach to things. While Mine is SUPPOSED to be very analytical and observant; in truth, she never thinks through any of her actions and causes a lot of unnecessary consequences and deaths. Like she has said herself, she "really cannot do anything right", and often exacerbates a situation. While her intentions are good, she really needs to think through her actions and their ramifications. She is also very ugly. I do not know why the mangaka gave her this ugly, middle age hair cut.
I believe the manga would have been better if there had been a stronger female character and the approach to resolve the conflict was smarter. There was none of the "outsmarting" the enemy but just pure ESP and violence used to "win" a battle. All in all, it was a good manga but definitely nothing stellar.

In my opinion this manga could turn into a movie. It has a unique plot that just grabs you in. It also has plenty of psychology which makes you understand the characters more. As for the ending, it shocked me. I know it may be a cliche to some, but I never read another manga that has an ending like that. Overall, people should read it.

Although their conversations were well constructed, and each character have a solid personality, the conclusion wasn't strong enough to leave an influence. One reason could be that questions the antogonist posed in beginning of the manga were left unanswered.

This reminded me of Mars, another work of the mangaka, were everyone just have to have some tragic past, that they have not dealt with. This manga may not hold a candle against Monster or Death Note, but it is worth the read.

Well, this was one of the most thrilling psychological/ drama manga i have read, and i have read my share. It was great how the mangaka showed us what darkness can be hidden in the human mind and heart, but also was very sad to see at the same time. The ending was sad, yet fulfilling and i got emotionally attached to the charaters. The bad part is that it really did not flesh out all the storyline to bring it to its maximum potential.

I have to recommend this to anyone looking for a great psychological thrill ride.
