If you take this seriously, you probably won't like it. But it's just soooo fucking funny when you read it for some light-hearted fun. Especially nearer the end when they're getting ready to do the do and that part is just super fucking funny. That part was so funny I was liveblogging it to my friend.

No annoying angst, just pure romcom! It's especially great when the mermen try and figure just how it is that humans have sex with each other. Decent art, pretty good smut, likable characters, and you'll never look at cucumbers the same way again.

It is really ashamed that i ignore this a couple of times because of supernatural genre. This series cracks me up and the ending was just so funny. There were no ounce of angst in this series, just pure comedy and romance. I think the end was kinda rush and was surprised that it ended?! Overall still great and a must read!!

Bishounen Mermen!

The art of the mermen's full bodies is stunningly beautiful! Her interpretation of undersea creatures is brilliant, lush and elegant. The artwork has a lean, 80s punk feel to it at times. I really like it's bright, clear feel. I'd describe it as a less sketchy, more detailed version of Minami Ozaki's 1990s work.

The story line is humourous at times, but at other times it is serious. The balance of the two is pleasing until the last chapter. The plot introduction of Ayase father and the Prince's father seems like such an intriguing turn and then -wham- it is over before it begin. I believe it is too 'big' of a concept to be lightly dismissed at the end. The previous balance of serious human interaction and comedy fell flat. I definitely got the impression of a rush finish and am disappointed, because up to that final chapter, it is carefully plotted, well paced and enjoyable.

I wanted more from this story and believe Hiiro-sensei could have delivered.

On the whole, it is still indubitably worth the time invested!
