Description
From Tokyopop:
Jin Sung Moo does his best to hide his inner feelings; Shin Hae Jung dances to the beat of her own drum; and Jimmy is an out-of-this-world guy with a revved-up motorcycle and style that is second to none.
Some say it's an extreme kind of love. Some say it's just crazy. Some say it's a crazy love story.

For Those Hiding Their Power Levels...

Or just chuunibyou in general, will relate to this. Though some parts might be convoluted and confusing, I think that works because it build up the sensation of frustration and confusion within the reader so that the story (seemly unremarkable) resonates and becomes spectacular.
Like the story's message says - it depends on how you perceive the world (i.e. the version of truth) that they offered you. Was her encounter and relationship with Jimmy? Or not? Was Hae Jung really incapable of love? Or not?
Going back to the fact that everyone views everyone else as an "Illusion" - it's true, I have people like that in my life too, people I cherish who are essentially an "Illusion".
Chuunibyous will get what I'm sayin'. I'm coining the term - "Meta-Emo" for this - teenage angst wrapped in a lovely five-volume package like a fleeting summer dream.

I definitely liked this one. Very different and unusual, but awesome. Yeah, as some people already mentioned, I wouldn't recommend this serie to just anyone, its plot IS a bit complicated and there's a lot of death and sadness. And the story keeps you standing on your toes, not knowing what happens next, but over all it is really good.
I had been avoiding to read Crazy Love Story for a long time, because when I picked this one up for the first time and started reading it, I was like "huh, that was boring" but when I decided to finally finish reading it, I found it so much better than I had thought, so try it and you may be surprised.

I was in the middle of the 7th chapter and honestly, everything was just so boring. Yeah, it was crazy, but it was just a sad attempt to make it psychological. When I think of psychology in a manga, I think of stories that really make us THINK to get deep inside of our heads like Kagen no Tsuki (an awesome manga by Ai Yazawa). This, however, is not psychological. This is just stupid.
First of all, nobody acts the way the girl does. She's crazy and twisted? I just think she's just mentally challenge, and probably need to stay at an asylum. Her character is annoying. Not because she's cold to the guy, or because she's just weird, but because of the odd little world she lives in.
I was just forcing myself to the 7th chapter, and maybe I'll like it even more if I force myself to read the rest, but I'm not interested at the moment. I don't feel like reading another page of something so weird.

I have my own crazy feelings for this story.
I bought this on sale and bought the first four when I was in grade 8.
I read it and thought it was the crappiest book I'd ever read. I only bought the last book to finish the series. I finished the series with a sour taste. I hated it, the pictures and the plotline just left me confused.
Three years later I read it when I was in grade 10 and I suddenly realized what a beautiful, beautiful book this really is. I don't think it's crazy at all, it really makes sense. Even though the drawings are still crap the storyline is completely captivating and a work of art in itself.
Maybe I've gone crazy, maybe that's why the book makes sense now... but I still love it from beginning to end.
I LOVE THIS STORY.. BUT I wouldn't recommend it to just anyone. If you don't read in general or have an opinion or an open mind you will dismiss this book. If you're abstract like me... this book is a mind f***

i think it tries to be too 'crazy' but ends up a bit disoriented and random...i lost interest after volume 1 ....its not that the manga was really bad...i guess i expected way more from the title...something really shocking. the characters were not really that crazy...a bit strange and rebellious perhaps. but then again, aren't we all?
-_-
so i guess my first impression of it was...'boring...'....even the characters in Hot Blooded Women were crazier than these.
points for originality....just dont expect too much.

First of all need to be aware this is really a CRAZY and TWISTED love story, but oh so great. The art is pretty good if i do say so myself, the cover is a bit deceitful. I really enjoyed how the relationship deciphers and was truly impressed with the ending. The story was truly unpredictable and kept me completly captivated.

I never really undertood people that gave 1 as a mark, it shows that they have no objectivity when dealing with things.
Don't punish something for being blue when actually, you like pink.
It says clearly below the photo(yeah yeah... to the right of the description) Psychological! So of course it will go crazy.
If you like cuteness, then stick to the usual romance-shoujo and you'll be fine.
I loved the story. I loved the art. I loved it's deepness, and I enjoyed it's crazyness. And I gave it a 10 just for being something else.

Never again will I ever think to pick this manga up and give it a chance. I gave it 2 chances and both times I cringed while reading it. It's just too crazy for me..so I'll pass.

Well I've just finished reading everything and I really like the story. The art is good and the story is so UNUSUAL! What captures me the most was the story. You will understand more starting from volume 3. The first two volumes were only an introduction describing the craziness the main characters.
Read it!!! Very unsual. I like it

I really didn't see the point to the entire story... and it was crazy alright. But the kind of crazy that makes you want to stop reading after the first page. Definitely not my slice of cake.
