slut-shaming

Ok, I thought this manga was interesting. Not only the whole 'alien inside my head' is unusual for a shoujo, I was quite perplexed by how things developed. Everything happens rather quickly and is told 'bluntly'.
But I just gotta say that the fith chapter tottaly put me off and here is why:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
after the main characters save Kurokawa (eventhough at least one of the guys had already raped her), Tsurumi told her 'you reap what you sow'. He really believes she had it coming because of her previous behaviour! The fact that she enjoys having sex and does it is said to be a good enough reason for her to be raped! This seriously pisses me off!!! Not just because it's wrong, but because there will lots of people outthere that will read this and will be in some degree influenced to start/continue thinking like that!!!! That sort of speach keeps the culture of rape going on!!! It makes me so angry when an author decides to deal with heavy subjects and doesn't take the necessary care. I know manga is an entertainment, and doesn't have to be always accurate, but it isn't ONLY entertainment and authors should always bare that in mind..
.

For now that's all I have to say... I'm not even sure if I'm gonna keep reading this one....

This is purely my opinion. No one is obligated to agree with me

Seriously, this manga gets mixed feelings from me. The premise itself was kinda interesting, although it DID bother me that <almost> everything had to revolve around the idea of sex. The story pacing was very distracting - like I can't even determine whether or not it's trying to be fast, slow or f**k-all.

But my biggest problem is the characters, specifically Kurosawa and Tsurumi - I hold no endearment to them at all. We're supposed to give a s**t about their story - like damn! Kurosawa may be messed up but her life's REALLY SAD. However, instead of being sad with her, I only feel annoyance whenever she's on the page. It's like...after her story arc (or whatever you call it), she was just...there. There was little development after the incident with "Aiko-sensei", as she was always this broken soul who constantly needs to be freaking saved. It's harsh...yeah. I am harsh, but I DO KNOW that she has a huge potential as a character - that's what pissed me off the most.

Then, there's Tsurumi...oh that poison-tongued obnoxious master of obliviousness. Good f**king Lord, this guy drives me nuts. Granted his role is solid and it's his personality that's supports the flow of the story. But the way he talks, the way he acts all obnoxious and s**t...like WTF is up with this dumba*sconfused I got so angry when he told Kurosawa that she 'deserved' to experience unfortunate events, I was sitting there silently screaming "Why the f**k isn't anyone getting angry over thisconfused" He is just...unbearable for me. Again, this is just my opinion

The main girl -Ikeno...well, I don't have a serious problem with her. Her personality's quite a generic one for a shoujo - shy, overthinking (though I can't blame her for this) etc etc. But I like how she doesn't over react to everything (ie. Freezing whenever *crush* goes tsundere and s**t). However, the way she takes a while to actually do something really annoys me, but well, I guess it's fairly realistic - given that you have an alien in your head.

Last but not the least, Tomo-kun...I feel really bad for saying this, but when I first saw him I was like - "Oh man...there's gonna be a forced love triangle here...=_=" Later on, although this notion didn't change, I felt kinda attached to his character. Yes yes, it this is gonna be like 90% of shoujo's, Ikeno still ends up with Tsurumi (ah Hell no), but I'm really hoping his character can at least be explored a lot more - make him to be more than a 3rd wheel.

For now, this is all I should be saying..the story itself is very interesting, as I love stories that keep me asking questions. Just disappointed that it wasn't executed very well.

This manga is essentially about psychic powers and gradually discovering how they work and what can be done with them.
I remember the first few chapters being very good and exciting, but I have to say I get caught up in all the physics of things now that I'm reading through the second volume. All these "connections" and how people can or can't connect aren't explained that properly in the scanlations... I'd rather wait for a publisher to read it again now because this type of complicated manga clearly needs professional translations. The goodness of the story, the ADVENTURE and controversial romance that comes with it, won't shine through otherwise.

I like it overall. The idea is cool--the hyperactive senses caused by aliens premise--but as of chapter 16, the author, in my opinion, is just doing too much for the plot (aliens might be evil, the cute teacher knows more than we think, Slut-Queen's touch-relationship/jealously, this whole 'I want a baby with you' thing) in a round-about slowed down pace, which is just frustrating.

I would give it a read if you're looking for something a little freaky, the categories don't do much for the series. (I don't get why the person below me said this was ordinary shoujo. It has shoujo elements but I wouldn't put it in the same league as popular shoujo titles (they set the standard).

Despite what everyone else is saying, i really liked this one. I didn't really understand what happened with just the description so i picked it up, and I've gotta say i really like it. The powers are really unique and it touches on a lot of subjects that most mangas seem to avoid, or go about addressing them wrong. Though it seems as though the mc is surrounded by weirdos, its understandable once they explain the affects their powers have on them, and its almost like they think like children and its kind of amusing to see Komaki trying to explain all these simple topics to the other people.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I also really like the recent development of Komaki and Shijou, though it seems like she and Tsurumi will be the last couple, i really hope she stays with Shijou. Somehow i find his "i want you to have my baby but I'll wait because i really like you" mindset really cute, and the fact they seem to have something developing with the whole "your smell doesn't make me sick" thing while the whole thing with Tsurumi (or really Tsurumi and ANYBODY) it extremely vague because he hasnt matured in his mindset like Shijou has
I'm really looking forward to the next release; it looks like things are really getting interesting! ^-^

I think it started out fine but then the author started setting multiple things in motion so all I'm left is really a "I want the next chapter but I don't know which to want" feeling. I think I'll stop reading until it's fully scanlated and hope the author manages to wrap everything up nicely because there's just too much going on as of now. I would also say this has a touch more josei than shoujo.

There's a lot of heavy picks up in the genres but it's really not that deep..
It's like a typical shoujo with some sex in it, but it's nothing drastic or anything. I'm not sure
if that one girl even got raped.
Categories and the genres are so misleading~

The summary is quite interesting. But actually the story suck. It's so so so so boring. The girl just going around, taking bla bla,... The work is just ok, not even pretty or something. It's sure ordinary.
