The ending was unexpected but once they revealed the secret it suddenly makes all the more sense. My only issue with this is probably the drawing. It isn't the most aesthetic looking manga out there but it's worth the read.

The heroine is badass, the detective is funny, the art is good, the setting is good too (I like the explanation for why there's so many bounty hunters -- it's both funny and has a ring of truth to it.) And, most importantly, the mystery is good and I didn't see the solution coming. Also, like geekdiva I've reread this many times over the last couple years.

I found that pretty predictable to be honest. A pretty good one-shot though, even if the art wasn't overly appealing it was nice that it had it's own style. The woman seemed really awesome too. I wouldn't mind if this manga had been continued.

For me, this one stood up to repeated re-readings over the years. And although many oneshots sorta fade into each other, this one jumps to the front of my memory the moment I see either the name or the art alone.
I was going to give it a 9 because of the slight amateur feel it has, but that doesn't get in the way of the story and the characters are simply lovely to read or reminisce about, so I had to edge it over into a 10.

Maybe the art isn't appealing, the name not catchy and there is too much background and details that make the panels feel crowded, but if you overlook these nuisances, you will have a really enjoyable time. Why? The story of course! At first, it seems weird but the puzzle that reveals itself in every panel is what I call great skill of story telling. I suggest you read this when you're in a mood for doing some thinking and analyses. Because, reading this without looking for the answer of the enigma will take out all the charm of this story.
i didnt solved it!
