The art isn't horrible and the summary just makes the story(and heroine) sound shallow(still waiting to see if it does, or any of the characters, turn out shallow).
I went for this mostly because it's seinen aaand romance. No comedy tag yet(but it tries really hard to be humorous...not that it's completely failing in that department).
The guy's been working for the past year(as the story opens) as a construction worker who's basically a good guy but anything about the entertainment industry is forbidden and gets him ape-shit mad. Like seriously. He blames the industry for the deaths of his family(still unclear what really happened).
He has a really cute high school girlfriend named Misa(and they be gettin' it on...but mostly in silhouette-scenes) and from my first impression of her, I hate her already. Sorry.
She just gets helluva annoying. Whatever, anyway. Issues. Everyone has 'em. Like seriously. The guy has issues with the e.i. because of his past in the industry(the story revolves mostly on this and the 'getting over it' part because of 'luuurve'). The girl has issues with her mom(i.e. dear mummy's puppet). The girl's mom has, well, you'll discover it later.
It's a story about manliness and...manliness? The dude mans up(for the sake of love) a lot in this story and the girl is the supportive "I love youuuss!" type while totally contradicting herself in many scenes.
So I'm calling this an okay manga because I'm not really it's demographic and so maybe that's why I'm not a fan? I can't get over many of the stuff in this that just bugs me but whatever.
