Description
From Midnight Scans:

1-3. Kareshi Toshishitakei
Her childhood friend, Sou, returns from America for the first time in five years. Ai is really happy to see that he has become very angelic looking in the time that they've been apart. However, one day he says, "I will definitely make Ai mine", and forcibly kisses her! To get treated like that by someone three years younger than her and who she's always treated as a younger brother takes Ai by surprise. It would definitely make Ai's heart skip a beat, wouldn't it?!

Same thing over and over....

Shoujo tends to be the same thing repeating itself with different characters...They all go through the same type of plot...Reading 2 or 3 stories in a row its ok but if you keep reading them one after the other your brain will rot and your IQ will drop...Mine dropped 20 points already so will go read something else to see if I can recover.

Artwork (at least in the main story, 3 chapters) is a major reason to enjoy this light read. It's not particularly deep or meaningful, but it's certainly cute and warm and well executed. At the very least, the hero's not a brute (not more than just enough to be tantalising ^^) and the heroine's got a good steady head on her shoulders. Other than that, it's a well paced manga which relies a lot on what happens behind the scenes ie the two main character's joint past and how they shape their (unpublished) future together. Whatever happens in between is full of a lot of doki doki, couple of kyaaaaa scenes and one cute bishie who knows his way around puppy dog and roguish expressions, but is otherwise limited in his arsenal.
I'm generally extremely wary of mediocre reads, but this one honestly wasn't too shabby. Smut is minimal but intimate scenes are sprinkled liberally including one masterful hickey so my fellow perverts wont be too disappointed biggrin

Hahahhhh, no...not this again. -_- It's basically the same flow of events in almost every cliche shoujo manga. I get that it's quite 'cute' - as all of the same genre are, but come on, the story is....old?

Everyone calls him Johnny...

Sure its cute and I don't care about the small details about how a couple gets together, love's what matters. But names are pretty important(to me) to distinguish a character from another(very important if the characters are all starting to look similar ex:Hey isn't he the same guy from the previous chapter/story!..nope, they've got different names).

So it's kind of weird that in Reverse Valentine, Daimu(is that translated correctly? sounds weird and his name is mentioned only once) is called Johnny by everyone including his crush like that's his real name.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
we found out he was a genius (skipping through high school and college even though he's supposed to be in middle school or something .____.)....really unrealistic

Not Very good

I read this because of people disagreeing with the ratings but perhaps the rating are abit harsh but it's not very good. It's just like any other Shoujo manga and it's got nothing special about it, it's not awful just boring.

Ok, I still haven't read it and I was going to but when I was the low ratings I like: " 0_0 this manga might reaaally sucks but how can it suck if it's made by Yagami Rina-sama? "

And then I read RaeBabeeyx3's comment... AND NOW I'LL READ IT! Giving this manga a chance and then I'll come back re-edit my comment... Sayo (n[]n)/ ~
