I didn't know Otto Carius before reading this but I certainly knew Hayao Miyazaki. This manga is a colored representation of a German Tank Commander, Otto Carius, and the Battle of Narva near Estonia in 1944. It basically describes the battle from Carius's point of view. It is a VERY interesting read and even though the density of words may turn you away, it is definitely worth it. Miyazaki even throws in some commentary and background for those unfamiliar.
Sadly, the 6th and final chapter is yet to be scanlated but don't let this stop you from trying it out.
