When I first came across this title online, I wasn't very hopeful. I read lots of shoujo mangas and admittedly they're guilty pleasures at best. Save from some exceptional series such as Tsubasa, Ouran etc. But this....THIS-!

Where the hell have you been all my lifeconfused?

I can never recall the last time I enjoyed reading manga this much, and a shoujo drama at that. People will be offended by this, but almost all with those genres have overly repetitive storylines, the dramas are often very laughable, with characters(heroines) that are annoying as hell.

And this manga...just *ughhh* I don't even know what to say. The characters, for me, are endearing, and I really was fond of Shiori. Despite her internal struggles, she always does her best to be strong and do what's best for everyone. She has a very convincing attitude towards wanting to be a good person, and I adore her for that. True, she still has flaws, but her development was almost realistic. Shiori is nowhere near those generic heroines who always want me to punch the screen for insulting common sense.

I also loved almost all the others characters in the manga. About how all of them really does seem important to the plot (some more than others, of course). I love how Maa-chan always reminded Shiori of her past, how A-chan tries his best to be a great brother, how Kai really does love her - all their emotions, I could almost feel radiating from the page. Even though it's all dramatic, the drama doesn't feel forced.

During sad scenes, tears would run down my cheeks.
When the characters are happy, I'd feel happy too.

The author sure knew what she was doing. The storytelling was superb, far superior to most of the same genre out there. The dialogues are clever, and the conversations sound so fluid. It almost feels like that the manga respects your intelligence, and I liked that...a lot. So far, only 20 chapters were translated to English, and from what I observed, the story's far from over.

I definitely can't wait to read more. Six Half is a compelling and beautiful manga - probably the best I've ever read.

BEAUTIFUL dramatic manga

I'm so glad that I decided to read this manga. The previous times I came across it here I often shrugged it off as being the formulaic kind of shoujo manga with cutesy heroines with shallow problems. Well, it's NOT that kind of manga. For a manga that's centered on high school, it has a pretty mature storyline kind of like those of Mars and Deep Love, to name a few and also a mystery to add to the drama as well. And it's also pretty 'psychological' if you ask me as the characters are not as what they appear to be to the others. Anyway, you just have to read it to find out. I'm currently on Chapter 18 and I can't wait for more of this manga.

About the art, I've seen better HOWEVER the art really contributes to the overall mature and mysterious storyline of the manga.

somehow I knew that maybe she was just purposely acting a bad person to keep some secrets(and I'be got feeling that Akio likes her too) :) )

Anyway, I just can't wait for more!

Absolutely love this. I'm usually not one for overly dramatic plot devices (such as amnesia, body switching, comas, ect) because they're usually very flat, generic and depressing ways to start a story - but in this case, it's created a wonderful one. I don't know if I was a little crazy in the odd hours of the morning I read this, but it actually made me cry quite a bit. The drama is genuinely hard to bare if you put yourself in the shoes of the protagonist. She is admirable and painfully relatable when she feels out of place and contemplates the position she's in. And the drama involving her friends is realistic enough where it never gets too out of hand or annoying - plus everything is relevant to the character's hidden past. But most notably, the flaws in personality and actions of the characters in the story feel refreshingly human - frustrating in many ways and difficult to come to terms with but in a very good "things will probably be alright in the end" kind of way.

Overall, I adore this story. It's a gem in terms of originality and plot, yet still quite a bit sad and maybe improbable when it comes down to how much amnesia can change a person's personality. That's the only questionable thing (except not everything has been revealed yet..)

Hoping that this will continue to be scanlated sooner! Can't wait for more.

Its Pretty Good

In my opinion this is a VERY good series, and as far as i have read, this does not have inappropriate content, so it seems like a series for everyone.I believe that the art style is actually quite realistic, because there is none of those very big eyes. The story may be a bit hard to understand and its not one of those 'cute' romantic stories, Its not cliche either which makes it really good. Im not sure if i would recommend it for those who are under 13 years old, but if they can understand it, then that would be fine (10 to 13 yr olds are getting smarter these days).
So all i can say is that i enjoyed this series very much, and am hoping that they can release the next chapter. I might also try this author's other works, if there are any.

A really, really great & promising manga

This is my favorite manga-ka and for good reason. She can take a concept that could quickly become cliche and puts a whole new twist on it.

The main character, Shiori, is very likable and you really feel bad for her (post-amnesia). She isn't whiny, she's not a crybaby, and she really does her best while trying to grapple with a terrifying past. The part of the story I thought was very realistic is when the poor girl hears a rumor about how she might have an STD and has to muster up the courage to go to the OB/GYN by herself, as she's not comfortable talking with her 'family' about it. Overall, the pace of the story isn't too slow or too fast, the art is great, there are no big cliches.

This is one of those shoujos meant for late teenagers (17-19) as opposed to most shoujo (more of a 13-16 range), imo.

I have to say I disagree with this series being labeled 'shoujo' despite running in Cookie. The raws have almost no furigana and 99% kanji...so I changed it. Other than that...

A new twist to 'amnesia' and 'identity crisis' for sure. Iketani Rikako takes it to a whole new level not only with clever dialogue, but with her storytelling. Very little ideas are original anymore, but how an author can make a unoriginal idea original through improvisation, background detail and character development makes them a master. This mangaka has done it. I look forward to new upcoming twists and turns.

I don't know what to say. I ignored this series when Jshoujo released it. The title and summary weren't that appealing at all. I mean, it is not the type of story I usually read. Thankfully, I was really bored and had nothing to read and decided to give it a try. The first chapter was a little "UGH," but it kept getting better. Im satisfied with the flow so far. The story is awesome. The level of mystery is just right. The development is not too fast and not too slow. I keep craving for more as I keep reading. Although this is not the typical shoujo romance manga someone might usually seek, but I tell you...this one's really good.

This is definitely recommended for reading.
