Again, the art bothered me so much

This is a difficult story to tell and only a mangaka of high calibre with extremely polished skills could pull it off. This mangaka, unfortunately, doesn't quite possess this required level of expertise, and most of her serious stuff always fall short on the presentation side. Her art is really bland and not very expressive, even if her characters are always crying all the time. Great artists know how to convey lots of hidden meaning through their drawings/paintings without the need for words. While in this case, characters go rampant on and on about their feelings in their monologues, but these emotions aren't presented very well in the actual panels. Which then turn them into clichéd, empty monologues that are not very subtle or emotional. Haizz.

The amount of tolerance for bs I had in 2013 is astonishing. I decided to reread a whole bunch of yaoi manga because I had exquisite taste in manga, but now I see that 2013 me was true yaoi trash if I actually completed this. Like blegh....wtf. No. It wasn't even an obsession with the uke the seme was just crazy. Like why the fuck did the uke think it was okay for his seme to be this way. It's only hurt the seme. Whatever, apparently all the advancements in psych studies didn't mean shit to these guys. They didn't even try. I'm sorry I wasn't yaoi trash. Just remembered that once I started a manga it used pain me not to finish. I'm still awesome

Absolutely, Irredeemably Disgusting

There is so much wrong with this manga. So, so much. So I'll start with the good points: the smut. It was hot, it was kinky, and if you're into hard non-con, you will definitely enjoy it.

Okay. That's it. Because the rest of this... thing... is indescribable. I apologize, but the words I need to describe it would likely have me thrown off the site. Please use your pretty little imaginations.

I could go on and on about this manga, I really could, but honestly, I'm tired, and I've already spent way more time on this thing than it deserves. But if you want to know why this manga is so screwed, kindly look into the incredibly messed up, often romanticized, mutually destructive concept of "healing a broken man (through love)." Because this manga is that mental illness incarnate, and it plays it completely straight and completely positively. Nobody should ever have to “prove himself” to a lover by taking abuse. Nobody ever has to “accept him for who he is” when he’s an unstable, self-righteous, abusive rapist. And anyone who tries to justify that behavior needs a serious reality check, now. I feel sick knowing that young girls are reading this and thinking it’s something “dark and romantic.” I fear for their future relationships.

This manga isn’t worth it, not even for the smut. Avoid at all costs.

I agree with this:

Very interesting plot. watakabe's twisted and dark personality is really thrilling and very amusing. the main character's mind is like unpredictable and difficult to read what is going on in that head of watakabe. in the other hand, the uke Hatzuki is kinda crazy and twisted too i guess since he can hold that long against watakabe's abusive attitude and even love him deeply maybe hatzuki is a masochist? and watakabe is a sadist? perfect couple...

There's some room for improvement, but overall I liked it. Better than the prequel too. If you've read it, you'll know how psychologically unstable Watakabe is.

While there is a lot of abuse at the beginning, what I did like is that Hatsuki already had feelings invested in Watakabe before he'd discovered Watakabe's other side - their relationship didn't start with rape but before that. I would also contest that Watakabe isn't "magically rehabilitated" at the end:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Watakabe's violence stemmed from his feelings of distrust, abandonment and the inability to keep people he cared about close to him. He also could care less about people he has no emotions for. These are all things he's still going to have to work on.

What might give the impression that he's fully recovered is the fact that he has loving sex with Hatsuki at the end, but there was nothing beforehand that said he liked to be sadistic in bed - it was only his outlet. Will he never hurt Hatsuki again as a release? Probably not. Those emotions and that programming are going to take years to let go. But as far as I see it, Hatsuki is already prepared for that.

I'm ever grateful to the small extra after the story. If not for that, I probably would have more bitter feelings towards the ending. But in the extra, it showed that Hatsuki was ready to stand up to Watakabe when need be. He was also going to start getting Watakabe to clean his own house - often times a disorganized home shows the disorganized and hectic life of the one living there. Watakabe never took responsibility for his home and instead left it up to a maid he didn't really care about. Now, Hatsuki's taking the lead and planning to get Watakabe to join him when cleaning... Kind of a sneaky way to teach Watakabe to take care of his own life if you ask me. :)

With that feeling that the two are planning to work on themselves and their relationship moving forward at the end of the story, I was thoroughly satisfied with it. It didn't give me the impression everything was sunshine and roses and that there would be no future struggles in their relationship as so many other BL with similar abuse stories have.

I liked it, but only because I'm a sadist

I liked it. But I understand why other people wouldn't; it's pretty messed up.
The main problem I had with this manga was the ending, which was far too sudden and out-of character-- not to mention the manga's too goddamn short. Other than that, I was pretty pleased with the story. We've got an abusive seme dude and this uke guy. (I have no idea what their names were and I really don't care either)

The story's about the uke guy who's in love with (or rather thinks he's in love with) this seme dude. He puts up with Seme's bullshit, not because he thinks it's okay, but because he's in love with Seme and hopes Seme will one day reciprocate his feelings. That sounds stupid doesn't it? But humans are stupid. We're like that. We tie ourselves down with false fantasies and we end up regretting it. Uke's like that too. I liked seeing a character completely aware that he was being an idiot and going with it anyway.

In defense of Seme, the guy was a douchebag, yes he was-- but... errr he never denied it (which is like saying "I sometimes eat babies but at least I know I do")(argument negated). After mulling over it for a while (two seconds actually) I've decided to agree with an earlier comment that Seme's just a really lonely guy who needs somebody to see his f*cked up side and accept him for it. Uke, resplendent in his everlasting idiocy and delusions, is that guy.

So that's it. If you can't handle sexual and psychological abuse along with a psychotic seme, don't bother reading this; it'll just piss you off. If you don't really mind that and if you like a bit of violence spicing up your yaoi then go ahead and read it. The art's pretty too, and I'd much prefer reading a yaoi like this than a boring-ass slice-of-life.
Note: Had the uke been a women my feelings towards him wouldn't have been any different.

It was actually an interesting read. Its better than the prequel. This seme is not just sadistic but rather psychologically unstable. Even though they are messed up, you can see the love developed between them. They had a happy ending at the end so Im happy.

Not a fan. Not. A. Fan. If you switched the uke out for a girl, would anyone be able to brush this off as an "angsty love story"? It's abuse, plain and simple. What could the uke POSSIBLY love about a guy in one day? He says that the seme's "gentle"? Bitch, you've only known him for half a day! Lots of people make great first impressions! (Liiiiike serial killers...) Honestly, this story hits a little too close to home--not the physically abusive part but the psychological abuse. That is supremely messed up--I don't see the love in this at all. The uke wants to spend the rest of his life with a seme who mind games him and projects his inadequacies on the uke? Was the sex even good or did the uke get stockholm syndrome?
And for that matter, what about the back story with the brother? That needed to be expanded upon bc it just seemed badly thought out and thrown in there at the last minute.

This was not my cup of tea. I guess I liked the art. It wasn't original art, but while reading the manga I found it aesthetically pleasing. You know, in between all the choking and slapping and handcuffing.

far better than the main story

I agree that it ended too quickly but the story was addicting. Main character was the most interesting one even from the main story. I was really happy to see how he struggled with his emotional problems and that he had such a luck to meet somebody brave enough to break through his violence. He really needed help and I really liked that he received it (which normally seldom happens). That is the most captivating point of this story. I agree that the uke was somewhat surprising with coping so well with so much abuse but it wasn't irritating.

I recommend this story with prequel to have a better insight on seme's character.
