Nothing i can say that hasn't been said already

it really does seem like the last few volumes are being made up as he goes along, what with plot elements appearing from out of nowhere. I started losing interest when the introduced the gravity children as i felt it began losing that "fun" factor it used to have. The art is very good so the best way to enjoy recent chapters is to ignore the story and look at the pretty pictures

Confusing and stupid

I admit to being disappointed in this series. No thats too mild a word. Irritated. Strongly so. Enough that its not a series I recommend to anyone. If you are looking for an action series there are others better. If you are looking for a sports manga, there are a lot better. If you are looking for something with an irritating convoluted nonsensical plot that completely defies reality and physics, then this is for you. Though there are lots of other stories that do that too, and do it better. Overall, this series has just one thing going for it. Art! I'll admit its got amazing artwork. If you are looking for anything else in a story, look elsewhere, this one isn't worth wasting you time on.

As far as I can recall, this series has gotten really interesting from chapter 165 (or so) and I don't think it's in any where near vol 15.Maybe the plot is a bit complicated and twisted strangely, but I think that's how it should be with the author's style of thinking, from the funny AT fights of some hoodlums to the exposition of Skylink project, the gravity children, and the wicked ambition of Sora, it turned out to be a fascinating sci-fi, we can't blame him for the appearance of mr president elect or the US army, cause we still haven't realized the role of his in the war ourselves.Further more, it makes sense because this war related to the research about superhuman power, and consequently the battle is getting intensely destructive like some kind of super heroes comic...
However, something I don't feel like in this manga is the way the author used Physics conceptions in fighting technologies, the way some guys with flameroad power manipulate the course of time,it's really ridiculous how they just acted some simple move and froze the time, and it's not even the most powerful skill o_0, Oh great need a course of Physics and learn about the theory of relativity.
In conclusion, this is a Manga with genres of mature and scifi, not for kids under18....

A waste

I've been following Air Gear since day one, since the time when it was on hold for like, a year or more, with no more than 16 chpts because no one would scanlate it. It begins GREAT. Great characters, great drawings and, most interesting of all, FRIGGIN' GREAT idea. How in God's name did he go downhill and flushed it all down the toilet I have absolutely no idea. This is now worthless and, when the military and obama crap get old he will make friggin' aliens storm in. This is beyond ridiculous and completely impossible to follow. Battles have gotten ridiculous, too. From "tricks" to "Superpowers" there is a slightly abismal difference which he seems not to have taken into account.

A manga that shouldn't be more than 15 volumes long (and I think I'm being generous).

How come this wasn't cancelled yet? Strange Japanese fellows and their tastes...

Typical O-Great

This has all the usual O-Great elements. Starts out GREAT, awesome art work, hot girls, and interesting characters. Then, it just all goes downhill. Story quickly gets confusing and it's always something about this great destiny of the main character, which can affect the whole world. But really, that's what you FEEL like he's talking about, but actually, it's pretty hard to understand what the hell the story is. It's truly a shame how he ruins his own work. They begin great, obviously from his awesome imagination and inspiration. But, he needs some help with story writing to finish great too.

Wow! Airgear's gotten bad.

So I totally loved it.
Until about 30/40 chapters ago, when it got REALLY bad. I mean, sure, the art is great and everything, but what the hell has happened to the story?!
I have no idea what's happening now, every chapter goes off on one about destiny. And Oh! Great puts in too much unneccessary nudity.
Its like, every chapter.

I read it now because I feel obligated to, and in the vain hope that it may have improved a little.

Whatever, give it a go, just stop like before the last however many chapters.
I wish I had.
That probably wasn't too helpful.

Oh! Well.

Yet again great art but haphazrd story

The whole rollerblade thing is my guilty pleasure so I may be a bit biased here.
One look at this can show you just how great the art is. Great detail. Beautiful landscapes and pretty women really add to the enjoyment for me.
Story is a bit typical, though there are some unique points. Characters though have good design design and all have there own personality. The way how every technique is explained so that it's really fact gets annoying after a while, specially when the explanation is really absurd. Oh Great! always does more than he should, making stories more complex when they should be simpler.
My main complaint is it's becoming a DBZ clone and leaving the rollerblades behind, by always talking about these special power that the rollerblades give. Also I would really like for bigger chapters. I feel every rime I read nothing really happens. if your reading don't read each chapter as it comes out, wait a bit. Quenches your thirst better instead of giving you bits and have you wanting more. The story does get really complicated, throwing a bit too many curves than I'd like.
So I recommend this greatly if you can get passed it's faults.

Awesome art, stupid jokes, twisted plot. At one moment it had a simple storyline about a futuristic sport game (Air Trek), now it's not merely a sport equipment but also a devastating killing machine. Personally I like it when a manga storyline evolve as the chapters goes on but this one is a big jump. The plot twisted in an instant that many reader find it pretty hard to get. A manga that certainly requires re-reading just to understand the plot and make sure that u are still on the right track.

Still Awesome art, and looks like things are starting to get fun again I will give it 8 for now.
