Furuya's obsessed with zombies. He collects any figurines, watches any movie, and plays any game with the living dead, and is even only interested in zombie girls. When his cat dies, Furuya begins trying to raise it from the dead using an ancient book of the occult he bought from a shop. But what will happen when he sees the idol of a nearby all girl's school walking close to where he conducts his experiment, wishing to die and be reborn as a different person?

1st time reading a manga
with a protagonist obsess
to zombies that makes me curious.
yup more on comedy than romance
but the one thing I love about this
is the obsess funny father who wants her
daughter back though he is kinda jerk
and the protagonist who help the heroine
and trying to solve the puzzle of preserving
life of his ideal zombie girl lol wierd taste
but if you saw the heroine you would not mind!

no lie here I thought it'd be another cliche romance I sure hell was wrong I checked out the first chapter and didn't even notice I was on the last translated page till i couldn't go any further
A rather interesting and original title from the same mangaka behind Ushio.
The characters, though a bit cliched, are nonetheless different from his previous work, the plot stood out for having a bit of romance and supernatural rolled up as one, along with the direction it took following the first chapter.
Looking forward to the rest of the chapters in the future.

i get over being scared of the dark since very little. i never frightened over fearsome rumour of spirit presence. i thread on scary places with confidence. I LAUGH WHENEVER WATCHING HORROR MOVIES, (bet you don't when you watch juon, the ring, etc). but, i cannot get this cute zombie and this cute storyline. i'm frightened more than ever! this is casper! (i'm in the mid of chapter 4, page 15 to be exact)

you see tons of mangas about a boy who falls in love with a girl from another school, even with the girl who has a father that treats them badly, maybe even with the boy having a weird fetish! but when the girl gets turned into a zombie, i haven't read a manga like that yet.
This manga is amazing! i have read up to chapter 4 but got hooked by reading the description. Sankarea is very original and comedic!! Awesome cliffhanger on chapter 4! i cant wait for the next chapter! XD!!!
Unique, interesting, an unexpected. This is definitely not a generic romance series. Every chapter leaves me without a clue how things will develop in the next. How many serialized works can you say that about?
I get this eerily feeling when reading this manga. It feels as if something horrible could go wrong any minute... unexpectedly, I love it.
There's alot of tension, but maybe has alot more to do with just having zombie as a theme. anyhow I love most of HATTORI Mitsuru works, and I have a good feeling I'll enjoy this one too.

This series is certainly not a generic romance. Though I have only read the first 3 chapters, it looks very promising and I am looking forward to what will happen in the future. The manga shows slight signs of necrophilia, but it looks like it is more of comedic value?
