Description
After losing his memory in a serious car accident, Tohru Takahisa is taken in by Fujishima, an older man who claims to be his friend. I read this in Chinese so I can't say much about the translations. The story is okay, the characters are likeable, the plot is okay. It's a slow romance and I'd categorise this as Shounen-Ai instead of Yaoi, lots of fluff in there but also quite shallow so far, I've read the third book and this seems like it's for setting up the scene so that the angst in book 3 is even stronger.

English Translation Lacking

The story had me completely hooked. But I thought Douglas W Dlin's English translation was really patchy. There were a couple of paragraphs in the first third of the book that just didn't make any sense, or weren't even in grammatically correct English.

Yes they are sweet. I liked the sidestories more. I enjoy the internal dialogs. I want to know what the character is struggling with. FYI if you read the message on the back she does expect more on these characters. Yippie. I can't wait.

I never get tired of Narise Konohara's wonderful stories!!! But this one ended sooo soon. I kept hoping for seconds smile The side story was very cute too. I wanted to read more about them.

i've read all 4 of her novels that have been published in english, and this is the one i'd recommend if one wants to read a yaoi novel. it's well plotted, and for once her characters are not unlikeable. they're odd, mind, and almost all of the story happens in one man's internal dialogue, and the other man remains much of a mystery. it feels very japanese to me, if that means anything. smile yes, it ends too soon. the short story at the end isn't bad either though.

Awesome story, AWESOME story, but it ended too soon. A whole chapter too soon. Feh! I keep picking it up for re-reads...and go FEH at the last page every time ^_^ still, I'm glad I bought it.
