I'm not being dramatic or cheesy when I say this. I mean it. This series really not only amazed me with its beautiful colors and innovative story, the moral of the manwha set me free.

And no. I'm not talking about how I now can publicly announce that I am a girl who adores men's speedo. That's not the message I'm talkin' about here. The message of perseverance, friendship, and finding one's true passion were subtly embedded in a hilariously written story about a high school boy with an innocent love for swim suits. The heart of the message also tells us to not feel scared about being different or seeming weird, and to find true friends who will love us even when they find out about our quirks.

Another cool aspect of this series is very unexpected. The original manwha (unscanlated) came with MUSIC accompanying certain chapters to help set the mood! !! How beautiful is that! It's not only a dessert for the mind and eyes, but also the ears!!!

10/10 for sure.

What a great series it turned out. Started off funny along with its intricate character study. Seemed to stumble in the middle for a bit but it had such a strong final third. Excellent depth to the characters. I can't recommend this enough.

i really really like the character development undergoes by main character and the realization he get at the end of this webtoon. he remind me of myself however i still have along way to go to be honest like him! yes, he is one of the few main character that i actually like, i usually like the plot or the side characters more than a main character.

the art is of course topnotch, something that seems to be a given in webtoon and general korean manhwa. i like the way he draw the bodies. i am too comfortable with the stick thin lolipop head figures in manga, this just jarred me to reality that it dont work that way.

the artist also deserve praise for his skillful use of the webtoon medium where it is read by scrolling. the atmosphere get richer and richer with the scroll, something definitely unique in webtoon, i cant get that by reading normal manga.

the plot is quite simple and i think the repercussion is not at all as sever as the transgression made, but this is a light hearted manga so i suppose it is okay. a nice little happy ending, and a message for the reader, this is a very good conclusion.

totally recommended.

It was really great. Although I don't know anything about water polo and swimming it was never boring. I liked the fact that the characters weren't perfect, they were full of flaws but I liked them anyway. Sugu is my favourite.

By the way - my first comment here, but I have to write it because I was surprised myself that I was so absorbed by this story.

I read this because of some good comments I read, but I was slightly disappointed. I really don't consider it Seinen or romance for that matter. It is more sports than anything else. There was a slight romantic subplot...

My Heart is beating is the story about this boy who has a strained relationship with his father. They barely talk anymore and all the father says is that he wants him to be better. As such the MC suffocating in his house finds solace in swimsuits.... Yes the man loves swimsuits. So when he was peeking at the female water polo team and gets caught the teacher decides to blackmail him to make him the final member of the female water polo team.

Now the good part about the series is the dynamic between the father and his son. You can feel the son suffocating because of the pressure, however because of the short length of the series a lot of characters don't get proper development. and although majority of them are mediocre some suffer from being very 2 dimensional. The ex boyfriend for example is like the example of every ex boyfriend ever. Its very poor character writing. Considering the toughness of the situation i didn't like the art style change for comedic purposes. I actually didn't like some of the comedy in its entirety, and some were just plain gross.

The romance was fine but i do wish it was more detailed. It just kinda implied in the end and i didn't like that. Nonetheless the author gave us some great panels that used the webtoon format to its advantage. Especially in regards to swimming, romance and the family pressure.

This is one really weird series... but it's good.

I say it's strange because of the unexpected twists and turns the story takes. Right from the beginning there is an odd mix of heavy emotions and gag comedy. I didn't expect it to be any deeper than the shallow end of the pool, but if you're looking for laughs and a happy read, this isn't the right series for you.

You should expect the same as can be seen in others of the mangaka's works. Insightful comments on people's frustrations and struggles to find themselves. I hope you enjoy Sugu's journey~

I loved it! Although I felt like some situations were overly explained... don't know how to say it! Like when you read something between lines it gives you a deep sensation, and when it is explained it vanishes.

Very funny in the beginning of the story. I'm beginning to love the Web Comics now because every panel is colored and in the this story, the images are beautiful. Adding gender bender in the story is even better. I highly recommended people who like gender bender and romance. I also recommend to people another Web Comic called Green Boy.

HHAHAHAHA! I'm lovin' this webcomic!!! I died when he said "that" to the girl in the 1st chapter. And I laughed so hard OUT LOUD at the last page of chapter 2! HAHA I recommend this!!
Edit, about 1 1/2 hours later!: I just finished the webcomic! (well, i just read the RAWs and looked at the pics to understand it!) It's very touching, and the ending was superb! I just hope that Hidden Gems didn't die! >.< I would love to know what they were saying! Anyways, this manhwa/webcomic is RECOMMENDED!!!
