the artwork was beautiful. different, but beautiful.
at first I thought the mangaka was being lazy to draw the background images, and it kinda disturbed me in the beginning. but later on, as the story develops, you understand that it's not because the mangaka didn't want to spend time on it;
~plus this was not a yaoi, I'd call this shounen-ai because the scene was so slight.

I loved how Ozu had a comfort zone he had found for himself and isolated himself from the surroundings and became alone, kind of developed an obsessive behaviour, keen on his routine life.
at first I thought the mangaka was being lazy to draw the background images, and it kinda disturbed me in the beginning. but later on, as the story develops, you understand that it's not because the mangaka didn't want to spend time on it;

it's for showing the characters' way of thinking. how Ozu does not want to get out of his life, and how Tereda becomes a part of his life...
~plus this was not a yaoi, I'd call this shounen-ai because the scene was so slight.
