Well, the characters are certainly not cliche

Lest the reviews make you think this is just another run-of-the-mill BL romance, let me start off by saying that the "tsundere-uke" protagonist is twice-divorced, extremely straight (to start), and has terrible habits and personality (but terrible in a cute way). The "aloof-seme" has psychic powers and can communicate with plants. Their relationship and interactions are very hilarious!

So, as run-of-the-mill as psychic plant-talking powers can be in BL manga, this story is nevertheless done at a good pace and the emotions that are developed are not rushed and feel believable. The interactions feel believable. If nothing else, read it for these great characters, NOT just something if you are bored. This is not the best BL manga I've read, but I give it a solid 8 for enjoyability, and I do not give many 8 or higher ratings, especially for BL manga.

Don't read this if you want a serious and thought-provoking piece, but if you want light-hearted fun and good romance that includes but goes beyond just smut, I'm sure you won't regret picking this manga up.

Funny, entertaining, interesting, with nice storyline with a few twists, very good art (well... sometimes a little scratchy, but it's ok), damn good smut and kind of happy ending - but not for every character. Supernatural motive is subtle, unique and makes it more interesting, also it's not a story about the next world saver, that's a good point. There's a lot of hot graphic sex. Very hot. In those moments you can see how much they care for each other. Relationship of our main characters isn't flat or boring, there are ups and downs, also I may say there are 4 main characters and it makes the story more interesting. My only complaint is about ending, although it's good, it feels like it was a bit rushed, but oh well nevermind.

It has everything what a very good story should have. I had a really good time. It's definitely memorable. I even overread it, it rarely happens to me. Highly Recommended!

The drawing is appealing and the manga is well peiced together and so it has to be forgiven that the whole story line is a cliche. Its something to pass the time but if you're looking for something new and exciting, then this isn't for you. However, i have lots of time on my hands and was pleased with the story altogether.

It wasn't bad. Pretty average. Maybe a smidge above. But the romance development seemed abrupt for me, and the supernatural element wasn't well-integrated.

Also, there was a LOT of plant-related sexy talk, and that was very strange.

This is not what I would consider cliche or overdone. I didn't really a joy it, though I managed to get through it. I felt the characters were a llittle one-dimensional for the most part. They did not feel alive, but were instead on the cheesy side. The supernatural aspects were just kind of strange and felt disjointed from the rest of the story, and all of the plant talk during intimate moments was incredibly awkward and off-putting. I enjoyed this more toward the beginning chapters.

Mushrooms...pfft! Ahahaha! Gawd, you'll get it once you read this.

The supernatural part is really light but blends well with the story. I don't think the story is cliche even if the uke is tsundere. It's lighthearted and lovely and the mangaka has the humor down pat.

I loved this and although I've only read volume one, it's quite satisfying. If volume two does get scanlated, I wouldn't be averse to reading it. Actually, I'd love it but I'm happy already with just the four chapters.

It was a perfect pick-me up. It wasn't pure fluff which made me love it even more and the supernatural twist near the end was just fantastic. The uke was my favorite type of tsundere. He learned how to warm up to the seme [in his own way] and was lovable the entire time I got to know the characters.

The point of the story doesn't revolve around smut but when the actual sex comes up, it's made all the more hot and a pleasure to read after having been desensitized to all the jump-right-to-smut yaoi I've been reading lately.

It's not one of the 'greats' but I don't usually rate a manga while comparing it to my all time favorites, else the rating of 1-10 would be quite useless. It wouldn't make it to my top 10 or 20 but it's still worth a 10. smile

Confusing

I'm not particular fond of any characters but at least I like this mangaka's style of narration so it was something that kept me going, but then that supernatural twist happened which didn't serve any purpose and added nothing to the story aside from making it needlessly confusing. Ending is also corny and rushed as well. The only saving grace is the hot smut I guess.

Unique artstyle - wasn't for me.

The art style never grew on me so I can't say I personally enjoyed the visuals... somehow to me the characters just looked ridiculous in most scenes - be they sad or serious, and it kills all the mood for me. (And I do often overlook art for story, but it was just too odd here for me.)

I found the plot somewhat hard to follow with a bit of a choppy story-telling and paneling.

There were some nice aspects and moments in the story but since I didn't feel much of a connection to the characters, it was underwhelming for me even to the end.

I'm sure some people can find it likeable, especially if you enjoy this art style, but it wasn't for me.

Somehow the end of chapter 3 left me very confused...
I hated the smoking, but hey! The story was nice, but there was something missing, or something left to be desired. The art is decent. It's sort of cliche, but at the same time it's kind of original in its own way. smile
