My critic

I'll try to critic this manga spoilers ahead

SPOILERS

1.'that character'
In my opinion, that pervert gym teacher isn't that interesting of a character to be brought back twice in the story, i think his first sacrifice makes him a good character and then later on his abnormal obsession is weird and absurd and kinda comedic actually
2.power dynamics
The sudden change in power dynamics, from running around trying to survive to suddenly exist a super soldier that kan kill a few tall type with ease is kinda abrupt, althought there is a foreshadowing for it so it's not that bad
3.sudden reveal?
The sudden reveal of that tree of death or whatever is kinda rushed, well a few things kinda rushed like the timeskips, they are like okay here the series is ending here's an answer that just come up and not being tried to investigated by anyone.
4.transition from man vs nature to man vs man and also a possible plot hole
The downscale of the stake from fighting king types to suddenly part 2 just to introduce to a rushed showing of a post apocalyptic world, and the conflict become partly man vs man mainly and the creature become just a bit of a background is weird and abrupt, i think the intent is to show the whole what happens in an apocalyptic setting thing but it's not fully fleshed out. A possible plot hole is how come some creature fight each other at first but then work together to wake the king??

That's it for my critic, even with all that, i still mildly enjoy the series and give my appreciation for the author

GOOD!!

I love this manga, especially the detailed drawing. Man, I can sense the passion on the mangaka. But what makes me can't give the 10/10 is because of the story. It started really good, but then it all about battle. I want to know more about the kaijuu. What is it? How can they be there? For how long?

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I remember there's a human talked to the kaijuu without being attacked. I want to know more about that.

I love the fighting scenes, but I want to know more about the kaijuu. But mangaka decided to put more drama into this rather than an explanation... sigh... Such a disappointment...

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The ending feels like gory Sailor Moon, Saint Seiya, DBZ, Gantz, Gundam slapped together. Akira, the VETERAN of the battle since the day it happened, failed to destroy the Messiah Maniac group, but his daughter, Mio, SINGLE-HANDEDLY kicked Master's face. Wha....?

Honestly, I like to see Akira and Nao's story more rather than their kids. I mean Akira, THE AKIRA, who saved many people since day one. The FIRST EVOL. THE VETERAN of combat. The LEADER of EVOL. THE MIGHTY AKIRA who SURVIVED a lot of hardship. Doesn't it sound more intriguing to follow?

Now about Mio, she's the daughter of Akira and Nao, becomes cold after her lil bro's death. Has a great right foot (a kaijuu foot). A presumably vegetarian. Huh... then? Live in a fort like house... with lots of kaijuu. Presumably a kaijuu farm. Presumably a serial killer. Hmmm... nothing seems special at all compare to her DAD.

I love Mio, but I want to see father daughter moments more than this, so cliche and predictable (all drama has similar story line where father passed down his power to his daughter or son)

Also, that pedo sensei is a cringe... but he's the ONE and the ONLY ONE who powerful enough to destroy the King

Honestly it'd be 10/10 when the first time it begun, I love it so much. The art, the story, the twist. I'm so into it, then it falls just like that because of the rush. Then suddenly, it changed into the someone in the future. I wish to know more about how they will survive, I don't think Evol is the answer since those kaijuu is enormous and Evol is kinda rare back then. Humans also are diminishing, so how can they produce so many Evol? So many questions and answers that actually can go further, but mangaka just stop after giving some lazy explanations.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Forgot to mention about Cluster 7. It supposed to be heaven for Akira's children: Mio and Naoki. But how can we call it a heaven IF the people in there turn into variants? On top of that, their parents are the one who responsible for the "Special Creatures Meat?" Mio knows the truth, so she doesn't want to eat it, but about when she's a kid? Did she eat it? Also, why they let people in Cluster 7 eat that meat? This is need a lot of explanations. But as I mention above, the mangaka only give readers lazy explanation by telling us: Cluster 7 is a heaven for Mio and Naoki. Oh, please! Naoki died by the variants' hunger they created.

After her arrival on the surface, she ate the meat and changed into variant when the plot needs her to (such a convenient story telling), but mangaka forget about the other 3 who ate so so so so many "Special Creatures Meat" without even turning into variants. Mio is an Evol, why she turned into a variant? Those humanS who ate it turned into variants (despite again, humans are diminishing, remember that? It's an apocalypse story? Where it's almost 0% of survival? And the government doesn't give a sh!t of the civilians?)

In the end, only 4 of them survived and give birth to many many kids (so, incest to help the humanity?) I don't know if there's any other survivors because I can't read Vietnamese and there's only Vietnamese scan that finished translation, but I assume, Miku, Saotome, Ren's big sis and the rest of them should survived as well, but in the end, I only see Mio, Ren, Leader and B00B lady (I forget the name).

Oh, and kaijuu still roaming the earth with Mio and Ren's kids (I presume) become the perfect Evol? Bah...

Now, it's already ended, only the art survives. The art still top notch till the end.
7/10 because of the art, the rather good story and Nao (I love her)

Disappointing plot development
by MasterSang

This feels like a manga which the author started because he wanted to show off his grotesque looking monster drawings, which I actually like due to how detailed they are. However, as the story progresses it needs a strong plot to hold the series together. Unfortunately the author fails miserably in this regard. He keeps adding more random elements to the plot without any explanation or foreshadowing. Some plot elements which sound like they are important are introduced only to be completely forgotten in just a few chapters. There is very little character development, which is especially bad because there aren't that many characters that need to be developed to begin with. What we end up with is a plot that lacks coherence and proper development with a rushed ending.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
There is a sudden genre shift from survival horror to Action/Shounen/Mecha which is like Zetman with some Mecha-like battles between titantic monsters. There is a 30 year time skip which happens literally 1 chapter after a climax battle and immediately after another climax battle, which takes place 5 years after the previous climax and of which we never see the details beside only a few pages of flashbacks later on. If that sounds like terrible plot development to you, that's because it really is. There is also an MC change (or 2 changes depending on whether you consider the arc where they try to find the MC a change in MC itself). I honestly haven't seen any series with an MC change that was good, this one is no exception.

TLDR: The mangaka draws well but has no clue how to write a half-decent story. If you still insist on reading it because of the monsters, be prepared to get very confused and ultimately bored and disappointed by the plot as the story progresses.

1.Realistic art style is not considered old, I'm so curious about commentator's age and manga reading
experience.
2. It's nothing similar or remind or close to Cage of Eden or Gantz!( again ...sigh.. )
3. It's an monster apocalypse manga!
and last I wanna say is get some experience before comment anything(at least read anything other than Shounen manga Please!)

This is really like Gantz with a slice of parasite, but so far... it's quite good. The crazy teacher actually is an anti-hero so root for him. You won't notice it until volume 13, but he's awesome!

Reminds me of cage of eden manga.
The story starts out pretty interesting with the invasion of strange alien monsters that look like some cross of insects. They eat and kill humans in the most gruesome ways you can imagine. There is a LOT of gore in this manga, so be warned. Seriously, a lot of gore. I was eating when I was reading this, and one of the scenes was so gruesome that I had a hard time swollowing. Anyways, unfortunately, there are only 6 chapters out at the time of this review, so there's not a lot of substantial plot to comment on. Hopefully, as the manga progresses, the plot will thicken, we will finally know what the monsters are, and so on.

The art is okay. It's the old style. Detailed. Not 'pretty.' People have crazy eyes, which honestly understandable. Not really my cup of tea, but oh well, nothing to complain about.

Thank goodness the protagonist is not a wimp.
