Too many pages wasted on unnecessary scenes

The premise and the ending were quite nice, especially for a purely romance story like this one, but the fluctuations in mood between happy and tragic were jarring and the build-up of suspense was practically non-existent. I suspect the author wanted to incorporate mystery and supernatural themes into her writing without giving up the typical cutesy shoujo-ai shenanigans and slice-of-life setting: probably to attract a wider audience. The focus should have been on Nashi's job and its associated complications, the Time Witch's duties, and Minamo's confused thought processes; instead, most chapters were filled with pointless sappy Nashi x Minamo interactions and out-of-place comedy, which clashed sharply with the grim tone of the plot proper. Such a shame, really, because the storyline -- whenever it was actually present -- is nothing I've seen before in yuri or shoujo-ai.

That said, I actually do recommend this, especially to people who read mostly/only GL -- it'll be a refreshing break from the norm.
