And "she" pops out another one!

No surprises here. Han Yu-Rang terrorizes humanity yet again with another one of her God-awful, mass-produced manhwa pulps. MBIAV started out well enough, a cliché storm, to be sure, but at least an entertaining read. Then, Yu-Rang opened her Pandora's Box of reused plots, characters, faces, and other assorted tropes, and it all went to hell in a handbag (not like I was expecting anything less from her, though). What originally appeared to be heading in the shounen-ai direction quickly became some weird, gender bender, body-snatching, character-derailing transgender crap about a psychotic, kinky vampire chick who uses her son's body to exact revenge by spreading her legs... or something like that. It got pretty damn confusing around that part. And, you know, it wasn't even a legit transgender story that it turned into, either, which sort of killed any hope it may still have had at decency.

Okay, I get that Kkonnim is trying to make a quick buck by pumping out this garbage like babies in a field for the general public to brainlessly consume, but why is it that all of their "authors'" stories end up in some sort of freaky, surrealistic funk wherein sharks are jumped for sport and plot and character are thrown to the dogs? Honestly, it's worse than a Korean drama and yet nowhere near as exciting.

My advice to anyone considering this manhwa: Don't invest time in this craptastic series or in any Han Yu Rang/Hwang Miri/whatever other fake name Kkonnim comes up with to market their assembly line comics under; you’ll just be disappointed in the end that you wasted time reading such tripe. I wish groups would stop scanlating these insults to manhwa and pick up some decent series instead. These puppies are the biggest scams in the comic industry.

To early to judge it's plot , but I really enjoyed on the first couple of chapters of this. Yoo Da-in has a tough and very spunky personality, and I like his reaction to people when they mistake him for a girl. I hope that dosent alter as the plot progresses even with his change of sex.

Shonen-ai

I think this is more Shonen-ai, since even up to ch10 Da Young remains male, then afterwards he continues to dress as a male, so it's hardly shoujo, despite the gender-bender classification. I just don't recognise him as being female, since he just keeps up the male front. It's really up to the reader to suspend belief and force yourself to have a collective ignorance of this obvious fact, despite individually recognising this absurdity.

At first sight cliche and typical, but once you start reading the manga it is brilliant, brilliant twists and it has left me addicted and unfortunatly it is ongoing, i want chapter 17 to come out already, i ma sad enough to have calculated there are about 84 chapters as there is 14 volumes altogether *sigh* so long to wait

Highly reccomend reading it

this manga seems to be pretty good, and i cant wait for the next scanlation to come outsmile
the art is the typical manhwa that i always come upon (there's nothing wrong with it), the characters- well it's a bit unusual for me to read manhwa where the guy pretends to be a girl, but i dont relly mind
the story- i cant wait for the next scanlation to come out so i can find out what happens biggrin
and overall- as said in the previos comment, its off to a good start smile

Bleh :/

My biggest issue with the series was how every character had to be a drama queen/king, and that characters kept contradicting what they had just said. Like someone would say "Leave me! I never want to see you again!" and then in the next chapter, they say "You have no right to leave me!" If it was just once or twice, it wouldn't have been a big deal, but it happens CONSTANTLY!!! Who is this trying to kid? Anyway, if you want a vampire or gender bender story, there's a ton better ones out there. This is pretty cheap. And the art is FUGLY.

Great story idea, but after a while it repeats the same phase as all the other manga by this author. The story lines are awesome but then the way things are portrayed and repeated kinda kills it. but i do like it. (kinda skipped to the end after a while)

Not the best...

First, I'll start by saying that, by far, I think this is Han Yu-Rang's best work. The characters can be irrational, even by the standards of manhwa, but it doesn't detract too much from a legitimately entertaining story. Nothing too new, but also fairly well executed, especially with the whole gender-bender thing; always a risk, but sometimes high payoff, like in this work. Overall, solid manhwa.

Strangely fascinating

This is one fascinating story. It is not the best story I ever read and it is surely not the most convincing story either, but it sure is fascinating.

This is one of those stories that could have been better. I have read better romance stories and better gender benders. However; this stories combines romanes, gender bender, vampires and school life in a quite unique and attractive way.

At first, the story was a bit thin and the conversations between the characters were... predictable. But the storyline keeps getting better and as of volume 7, you get some serious background story. This story is acceptable and quite convincing. It was some gaps here and there, but satisfying it is.

My rating for now will be 8.5/10.
Depending on the development of the storyline and the characters, this rating will, of course, change.
