Yet again another similar story as far as the plot goes, and what do you know, it contains sex without consent. It's not necessarily the case that I completely hate mangas that has rape in it, I just hate it when the events FOLLOWING the scene don't make much sense and are too intolerably nonsensical (eg the one who got raped winds up in love with the rapist without any justification). In here as well, there was not that much satisfactory explanation as to why the characters ended up as a couple mutually in love. The only reason I can't completely bash the manga is that the artwork is adorable (as always), and the chibis are so freaking cuuute.

But casting the main story aside, that last one-shot..! It's actually quite short, but holds such a sudden and impactful change in the mood of the manga. Heh, I suppose even Ootsuki Miu can refrain from happy endings once in a while.

I really like Ootsuki Miu, but I wish she wouldn't include rape in so many of her works. They're infinitely better when she avoids it. This is pretty typical for her. Not bad, but very rapey. The art isn't her best in this either.

I love her works. I love the cute plots and smuttiness. I can agree on the excessively teary eyes (I also dislike the spitty kisses DRENCHED sex scenes), But I've read all of her currently scanned works in the last 2 days and can honestly count her as a fave.

For anyone on the fence, her stories are not pillars of depth. They're cute, simple reads that really made me grin, and even squee (And I'm choosy about my squees!).

The art isn't the best I've ever seen, but I find that I enjoy her femme boys (Though, everyone has the same face, regardless of hair, which also seems to be just a handful of styles recycled and recolored per character). But if you're not looking for the GREATEST MANGAKA EVER, you may enjoy her works.

You should also be informed that several have a rape element. It's not what I consider hard rape, but the warning should be out there, nonetheless.

It was ok, plot-wise. Not a lot of substance. It's only two chapters, so what can I say? The two main characters look SUPER GIRLY. I usually like girly ukes and whatnot, but they both look really really girly. I think it's the eyes.
