FYI for hopeful readers out there: this manhwa is sold online in English at http://www.netcomics.com/comic/theres-something-about-sunyool
If you look around the internet you can find volumes 1, 2 and parts of volume 3 for free. (Of course, support the manhwaga when you can). The story gets really good by the end of volume 1 onwards.
My review: This manhwa delivers on its promises. There really IS something about Sunyool Lee. The manhwaga and protagonist show it through her actions and choices. After the initial premise, if any of the characters get any happiness, it is something they've earned. She will undergo trial after trial. After Volume 1, the characters will show what they're made of.
I love and treasure this story more than all the soap operas I've watched before. Then again, watching many soap operas before makes me appreciate this story all the more. Youngran Lee gives a refreshing twist on tropes and cliches. I think art is standard for this genre, check Ch.1 to see how you like it. The major dramatic events moved me. The humor made me laugh so hard. Storytelling and pacing are solid too. I think there were 2 subplots that could have been milked for one more volume, but I guess that's the author's choice. (The author's choice was more in line with the character personalities anyway).
I believe the purpose of art is to create change in the audience. Among other things, Sunyool has made me reevaluate how to live with dignity as a woman and reevaluate my approach to romantic relationships. Sunyool's awesomeness is justified. Read to know how Sunyool shows that "something".
