Description
Kentarou is a plain, nondescript college student who has never had a girlfriend or any friends. After getting hit on the head by a wayward ball, he begins to notice that there are increasingly long periods of time in which he cannot remember what he was doing.
One afternoon, he regains consciousness in an apartment he'd never been to before - and sitting next to him is a young man who then tells him "You're being possessed by the spirit of my dead girlfriend"...

This is actually one of Hideyoshico's better works for me, lol. I didn't find it that confusing tbh, everything was perfectly understandable. The main character was so pitiful and treated so unfairly at first that it hurt me as well, so maybe that's why I could sympathise with him and appreciate the happy ending more. And I don't mind the ambiguity since we could clearly see a bright future ahead for the couple. Definitely an unexpectedly good read.
From the works of Hideyoshico that I've read...

I'm holding this one at the last place. I think the idea behind the story was good, but it felt like it wasn't executed well enough for the BL relationship to be convincing. I think it would've had a better ending if more of Mashiba's POV was explored, his confusion, and his feelings. I still enjoyed the manga somewhat, it just didn't give as much impact as sensei's other works.

It's a very pretty story, and it's certainly tragic in places, and overall it was a good read.
I don't know if it was the translation or the author, but some parts got fuzzy and I wasn't sure what was happening.

Hehehe. The first chapter and Kentarou's self-depiction was awesome. If I could,I would cite the whole beginning, thats how memorable it was for me. However storywise I have to agree with some comments, that readers who are really into "BL only" won't appreciate the story construction. From my point of view though it was a very enjoyable read and I can recommend it.

DON'T READ this if you are uncomfortable with straight pairings.
The seme is very much in love with his girlfriend, to the point of crying over her and following her every whim. This doesn't even feel shounen ai to me. Eventhough he miraculously fell for the protagonist in the end, it seemed very forced and left me wondering whether it was simply because he grew attached to the only other person who was there when he was dealing with his loss. Overall, if felt very unrequited love-ish. Okay, I love Kensuke and his sister but Hikuru and Mi-chan are hard to like as a couple. Unless you are looking for a manga where you can -experience- the unrequited love for a straight person. Overall, this manga is good in wringing out the bitter feeling but I still wonder if it could have been executed in another way. Over the chapters, it slowly reveals what actually happened to make the characters as they are but the matter on the present development is too lightly dealt with. The confession at the end was really out of the blue. Reading this was extremely uncomfortable for me.

The art is one of those sketchy types, not even that great. The story looks cheap, but it actually moved me! After reading a summary, I totally thought it won't be anything special, but I was very nicely surprised.

It was definitely a sweet tale in memory of a sweet, tough girl. However, as a BL it doesn't really work, unless you take it as unrequited love, which, lets face it, it is not the best of feelings or experiments. The boy, who, I take, would be the seme, feels quite straight to me and the crying scene didn't help; and my heart truly ached for Kentarou there. In the end we are led to believe the seme's (can't remember the name of the guy for the life of me) feelings are shifting, that he's getting more into the "avatar" rather than the "spirit within" but his motivations are not exactly clear. For the story to work (especially with the twist at the end) it should've been approached differently, perhaps with a little more time and a good share of additional pages. It's still an enjoyable, if heartbreaking, journey, on the part of Kentarou of course, but the idea works to a very limited extent only. Screams for a sequel, and I'll be the first in line to get it.

Another beautiful and gentle manga. Despite the supernatural premise, I found this to be very realistic. The manga was too short for the characters to be totally fleshed out, however the glimpses of their personalities that we do see are likeable and genuine.
Also, the grieving process and falling in love are realistic in this manga. Obviously the blonde guy wasn't going to fall in love with kentarou straight away and I got the impression that this took place Orr a considerable length of time. In the end, it is up to the readers to decide the fate of the romance, which may not be amazing for canon lovers but I think it was pretty obvious what the manga ka was getting at.
The side characters as always are wonderful, mi-chan was a sweet and interesting character and ken's sister was hilarious. The art is also beautiful.
Maybe I have a hideyoshico bias but it is hard not to as she is brilliant!

The story was rather short for appreciable character development and I probably won't reread it, but i really enjoyed it. The plot is intriguing and catching, and at the same time this manga has the melancholy feeling that is inherent to mature josei manga. The only thing that i personally didn't like was the way their relationship turned into love

- they barely talked to each other! And the childhood's story doesn't count because it was too long ago >_<
. I wish the story could be longer, so they could naturally fall for each other ^__^... Last updated on August 15th, 2012, 12:57pm

I really enjoyed this story, it was very sweet and had a slight whimsical feeling. I liked all the characters and was happy about how it ended. I do however wish it was a little longer at the end, it feels just a little unfinished.

I wished they kissed.. that might have made it feel complete.
