It was pretty nice, but it could've had a bit more romance in it.

It was a good read and avoided some of the major clichés, but it got boring after 18 or so chapters and I had to start to skim through all the boring scenes, especially the "serious" ones which just sucked and felt way too fake. This manga should never have tried to take itself seriously, neither the writer nor artist seems to be good at serious stuff. I felt it was a bit above average stuff, it's worth reading.

None of the characters felt that deep and everything was pretty rushed and not connected properly, that's why it's one of the manga that you shouldn't take seriously and just try to laugh and skip the "serious" scenes. I also hated some parts of their personalities. Way too naive and unrealistic "princess" that can't even talk to men and when I'm getting many shounen vibes, including the thing where no one can die(except from of old age or stuff like that, annoyed that the only true "bad guy" didn't get killed mercilessly), that friendship gives powers and all the lucky coincidences where people come to save you at the last second... I generally dislike naive idiots that can't kill people or make hard decisions, those guys are just living a lie. It's one thing if you don't do stuff like that in a realistic setting, but fantasy like this where people can get killed for looking at nobles the wrong way characters need to stop being pussies. It's a seinen manga, not a shounen one, so stuff like that should be ok.
