I can't write much without spoilers, but the story was interesting until the very end, the pacing was good and the length of the story was just right 👍 Only after I finished reading did I notice that the manga is by the same author as Shinrei Tantei Yakumo, another great manga. Recommend!

Manga like these are short and beautifully created but they don't have its potentially deserved popularity. One of the best mysteries among manga. Overall a 10 for its stroke style, phrasing, and timing of the plot, and the attention to minute details. True slice of life, reality and the best way to end a story without making you feel the least bit dissatisfied.

First off: poor Kuchiki.

This manga wonderfully blends mystery, romance and tragedy. The artwork is great and the characters all have unique designs (which is important to the plot, believe it or not). Everything comes together in the end in a bittersweet, but hopeful, way.
I definitely recommend reading this.

...is how successfully it incorporates romance into the plot. I'm usually opposed to love stories in plot-focused fiction because 99% of the time is feels artificial and forced merely for the sake of "character growth" (aka characters acting like idiots just to create pointless angst and unnecessarily lengthen the series). But in Conductor, love and lust is the motive -- not an obligatory aside to draw in more readers -- and is seamlessly incorporated into the flow of the story so that it plays a clearly defined role in the plot, which I personally found very pleasing.

Interesting characters, an intelligent and well-thought-out plot that engages the reader fully, and the complete lack of pointless filler means that I recommend Conductor whole-heartedly to any mystery fan, regardless of whether they consider themselves a shoujo fan or not. (This was written by a male author, anyway, so it's not your typical shoujo)

That being said, if you're expecting a lovey-dovey HEA, don't even bother. None of our favourite characters meet a bad end, though, so don't take the 'tragedy' tag too much to heart.

Sometimes the manga was very confusing due to all the roles of the characters, and some of the characters and their relationships were very messed up. But what I liked is that unlike most mystery manga, you weren't able to predict what was going to happen in this one. You can only predict a few parts, and you'd probably end up wrong.
The art is pretty good, and the romance is excellent.
Loved the tragic ending.

Very good manga, I definitely recommend! I don't think this should be categorized as "shoujo," I feel like Josei is more appropriate. Very mysterious, and lots of drama. The ending was bittersweet, but I feel like it felt very fitting with the overall atmosphere of the manga.

every time you think you've grasped a piece of the puzzle, you haven't! The author rips it out of your hands a second later and it isn't even confusing! Seriously great story!
Great art, reactions, reasons, plot, characters. I'm beginning to think one guy is half the characters, but I'm not sure at all. I'm not sure about anything! God, this is GREAT!

I wish there'd be more releases
But with only 2 chapters in I see this could become a really good murder mystery! Lots of suspects, great art, and awesome eye candy with romance XD who could be asking for more?!??!?!
