Thank you, O' Wonderful Mangaka of Yakozen. For those who want zero spoilers, just know this: real feels and real life await you if you pick this up. In a good way, I think. Monji is super likable and super relatable. Okay, now I can't say this without spoiling something so:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Thank you, dearest mangaka, for not making the protagonist stay with a selfish, irritating, cruel partner. Thaaaaaaaaank you for letting Monji have a future with someone who really loves him! So unexpected for the genre, but so great.
Go read, now.

Not sure what to feel

I get the idea that the mangaka had when creating the first story, about the conflicting and self-loathing emotions raging when someone is having an unrequited love, or worse, being abused and used out of the guilt from it. I just wish the story and its lines/dialogues were a bit more subtle in conveying the philosophies which could make the plot flow much more naturally.
The second story is very pure and innocent on the other hand, so not bad as a breather.

Btw I really like the artwork and chibi drawings here. Some might find the art coarse or unrefined, but that's what suits the atmosphere, and personally I think it's very nice and almost artistic. Kinda reminds me of Nakamura Asumiko-sensei and her infamous disproportional art style.

Bitter Sweet

Love is hard. Everyone, at one time, will have their heart broken. I've had my heart broken and even though I tried to make it work, I should have just walked away; I saw the red flags but chose to ignore them and in the end, my heart was trampled. I could relate to this.

I didn't like the art but the story was touching.

Out of the two, I liked the last arc the best. So cute smile

I've read only 3 chapters but
If you're looking for a love story about 'real' people with relatable feelings
or yaoi without stockholm syndrome this is a manga just for you!

How is this psychological??

It's more like a slice-of-life x drama type of yaoi, which is my fave combination of genre (other than slice-of-life x comedy lol) It kind of gives real life lessons to the people who can't let go of their love. It did break my heart when he said goodbye to Chiba, it was necessary for him to do that in order to let go.

This story has so much potential! I can't wait to read the rest of the manga when it's completed. I like how Monji can relate to his friend Chie, and knows that they are both stuck in the same jacked up situation. I'm eager to see how he gets out of it and changes.

I'm really not into the cliché type yaoi/shounen-ai, with a frothy, unrealistic plot development, or characters. So far, this manga is deep, realistic and seriously clever. I've only read one chapter and it's better than another 300 that I've read, I'm reaaallllllyyyy looking forward to reading more of this.

Tormented Heart

It has been so long since her stuff got scanlated!!!

Once again, Jaryuu Dokuro delivers a heart-wrenching and bitterly-warm story plot. The way she draws and panels are beautifully executed, and I hope to see more of how the characters cope with their agony. (cheesy I know, but a rejected heart is toxic to live with.)

(Review based on scanlated Chapter 1. Will update when more gets released.)
