I wouldn't call this one-shot a complete waste like the previous commenter but I will call it a waste as a one shot. I think the basic principles and main 3 characters have a good story.
With a plot of weird transfer student, psycho popular girl with low confidence and a boy whose parents were both murders... there's no way 2X pages can properly create a good psychological effect with something like that.
With the fact that it seems that this duo is just starting off, I can say I'll be looking forward to a series whenever the time comes.

the length holds it back. if it was a series it would be much better because this type of manga needs time to develop the story/premise and characters. i think the author did the best they could, considering the limitations of a oneshot. while a bit shallow, i still find it an interesting read and would definitely read more if it gets serialized by any chance

Extremely confused

As other commentators have noted, this has workable art and effective characters and an interesting premise. Unfortunately, the plot and explanations are very confused and poorly explained, even though the characters act like it's all perfectly understandable. This needed more pages to really get to what they were meaning, and perhaps would have done better if it had used its visuals to show what it means instead of relying on dialogue.

needs better execution

It seems like the people behind this had a decent idea to begin with, but had trouble executing said idea. I wouldn't go as far to call it a waste of time, but... the mangaka could use some more experience and direction in making a more coherent story and narration. I only have a very vague idea of what the story was about after finishing the oneshot, and the muddled narration really didn't help.

Didn't get it. The main plot was all over the place. From the little seinen I've read, it's kind of expected. It can't be a romantic story, it's not shoju, so they twist the plot, but this one takes the cake. It's all over the place, doesn't make sense to me. Too much for a one shot and didn't leave me wanting for more. The art is good and the premise too, just awfully executed.

This one-shot is a waste of even the ten minutes you have to dedicate to reading it. I'm not sure whether it's the result of faulty translation or the original work, but the story is disjointed and fails miserably at conveying the psychological message it is trying to put across.
I could only vaguely guess at what the mangaka's intentions for writing this story was.
The ending...pretty much comes down to a tsundere and yandere competing for the lead male. Bleh.

Oh- and as for the 'bullying' , 'dysfunctional / weird family' and 'philosophical' category tags...they don't fit here at all!

I'd say definitely give this one a pass. There are dozens of one-shots out there that are more deserving of your attention.
