Description

Yato is a minor god whose dream is to have a lot of followers worshiping him and praying to him. Unfortunately, his dream is far from coming true since he doesn't even have a single shrine dedicated to him. Monthly chapters don't do it justice with varying chapter lengths. Will refrain from giving a rating.
I thought by reading the reviews my expectations can be ruined but I still gave it a try any way. Turns out it was way more amazing than I expected. An emotional rollercoaster, with fantastic bonds and relationships. You may get sad for characters along the way but that just goes to show how much thought the author put into these characters. One thing I can say that's good is the writing even if you may not agree with the direction this is going.
Since the manga is not complete yet and I need to see how it ends I will give it an 8 for now.
I'm waiting for chapter 93 and catching up on the manga for any new comer should take at least 3 days.

PS. About the Romance, it none of that over poetic garbage that we enjoying eating up but a normal romance were feelings are discovered realistically. They make it less dramatic she like him he likes her you don't have to figure who likes who because the characters are honest.

This is a series that once its done (which I think is coming soon) I'll have to re-read. It went on hiatus for a time, and I lost some steam for reading it when that happened. Hopefully after I do a full re-read after its done, I'll be able to remember it more fondly.
Making a well liked protagonist an annoying antagonist is not a good way to move the plot forward.
Welp, I watched S1/2 of the anime and I still have no idea what's going on with the manga. The anime is much better imho as they cut down the number of side plots and kept it pretty organized. There's many, many refs to JPN mythology and reincarnation themes so I admit, I'm not the only reader feeling lost. I do have say there's a lot of characters in the cast and they rotate around depending on the events. I feel like every time there's a major event I don't understand the significance of it due to how confusing the writing.
For people wondering if there's any romance? Uh that's like saying there's romance b/c like 2-3 tiny scenes every 10 ch so IDK anyone tags it so under the listing. If you just ignored that aspect the story would be fine either way since it's just a side note to the plot.

I started reading Noragami a few years ago and after chapter 10, I dropped it. I thought the story was very bland, however I picked it up and kept reading and HOly. It is a very good manga. Not the typical shounen. If you are looking for something like Fairy tail, Naruto or Bleach....then this is not for you. But it is definitely worth reading, it has its flaws but the story manages to stay entertaining. The main three characters are adorable and manage to support each other whenever they can. There is romance, but it is definitely handled nicely and the two have some great chemistry. The humor is great, definitely put this near the top of your MUST READ list.
I am not gonna spoil anything....but this manga is amazing. The progression isngreat, and what is made comic (e.g, all characters laugh at) isn't actually that funny, and we start to learn this throughout the manga....

i start reading the manga after i finish watch anime several time in hope in the manga there is this romance going on with the protaganist better but no hope. it's still one side affection there is no real affection showed from the main heroine, everything from the main heroine not that kind affection of love or caring it more like admire and respect. hope in the near new chapter there is that kind of affection if no, i hope for the better to make the main heroine tottaly forget about the main protagonist, like this now it just make the protagonist kind of look sad and gloomy, so better make it more worse than half assed heart or thinking, wanting more but no payback.
it's about the romace, the romance so week, but if i not counting the romance this one story really great hope they get over with montly and become weekly
hah, poor yato no one trully love you from the bottom of the heart only that admire because savior bla bla bla, yato too good for hiyori if this going on. and why most monolog is hiyori monolog but a shounen. poor yato i must bear it wit this hall-assed one side romance, it's better if just go with bishamon they don't like each other but he romance feel much better from quarrel when they meet but i want yatoxhiyori author please show the light T_T
P.M: for you guys who already start to read this manga up to chapter 51, worshiping yatoXhiyori and suddenly asking where is the romance, will yato hiyori will ever happen?, is there any reason to tag romance for this manga, it likely you are looking the same roamance like me if this happen FYI until now 74 that romance not seen anywhere but if you still want to continue because the story is great and interesting bear with it and try to think most of hiyori word full of love (even though i never get the feeling of love from hiyori word, most of them feel like a pity even that word "i want to be with you more". "i will always come to see you more often", "i'll never forget you" whis word mostly likely that word for showing love(eventhough it feel more a pitty than love word).) when i think those word is full of love it make the ache in my heart less hurt.

I made it through 5 volumes of this but I just can't go on... first off, the main character gets dumped on and abused by every other character nonstop. I'm sure, it's for the comic appeal, but it makes it hard to take the story seriously. Another thing that bugs me is that yato's shinki spends every night in a nice house while yata is also outside up a tree or on the ground sleeping. Shouldn't the shinki stay with the master at night. I mean you hear over and over that night is the most dangerous time and is probably the most important time to have you weapon within arms length.
This manga also seems to be going nowhere fast and being the kind of story it is, I don't see a 100% happy ending in the future. I also don't see any real romance forming. I think in the end she will forget them.
Anyway, I'm just not go a torture myself anymore.
