This story is better this this company's other works so far, but it still sucks. The art is terrible, and the villains are about as one-dimensional as it gets under the "evil matriarch" trope. Not much expectations for this one...

Only 2 volumes have been completely translated, and of those 2 volumes, the story so far is pretty good. There's not as many cliches as her other works, such as a deliquent girl and stuff, and the annoying female villains have been wiped out altogether due to the lack of girls! How great is that??j

However, I suspect that the auntie will become one of the stupid villains due to her inappropriate affair with the gangster kid. It's already obvious who the main girl will end up falling for. God, I've read so many of this company's predictable and crappy works that I can pinpoint the whole story from pretty much the first 3 or 4 chapters.

I wuz going crazy when i wuz reading this manga but it doesnt update fast i hated it when it stoped at the most dramatic scene i wuz flipping out for days i kept on checking if it wuz updated all of u who havent read it i demand u start right away

So yeah, some iffy heavy handedness going on with that area.
It has some mentions of transgender people, and while it's not condemning, I could see it feeling awk.

It's enjoyable as a school manga (which is sadly what it is despite its fantastical premise).

So despite the weirdness, it's still hooking, so you can give it a try if you want.

LOL. I love Hwang Mi Ri. Always enjoyed reading her works and this one is really of my taste. It's a mixture of sci-fi and romance. However, she really doesn't know anything about DNA, genes and chromosomes OR it could be that translators don't know how to translate properly. I don't know the real reason. The green sun apparently altered the X chromosomes of females and that is why only the females are dying. Females have 2 X chromosomes so they sometimes do not have characteristics of any sex-linked disorders (if the disorder is recessive) if they are carriers (they generally don't, but they can exhibit some traits). Men have 1 Y and 1 X. The Y chromosome barely carries any genes as oppose to the X chromosome. They're generally screwed because they cannot be carriers. The point is, if the X chromosome is altered and results in the death of females, then MEN are first to go. It would make more sense for males to become extinct by the year 2042 instead of females. Also, you cannot correct alteration of any chromosome through the usage of VACCINES! Vaccines are made from "dead" or live particles of viruses (pathogen). Exposure to these particles will induce immunity so that when the actual pathogen invades the body, there will at least be some protection. Additionally, mutations don't take place that often in eukaryotes. We take lots of time to actually "evolve". It'll be awhile for a new species of humans to evolve. The idea in itself is just WAYYYYYYYY too unlikely even for sci-fi. Sheeshhh, do research!

The story so far is quite interesting. It's only been one chapter, and yet, I can't wait to see what happens next. It has so much potential!
I only hope that the main character doesn't have the characteristics of all of Hwang Mi Ri's other characters....

Also... I'm kind of worried that this story has 16 volumes yet was published only last year... it might become kind of mindless...
