Stories...

This manga has its own line of different stories interluded with the main motif of the head story. Even though there are three protagonists, leaving us in a confusion as of which one to get fond of, but anyway it's impossible, they're all wonderful, each of them is carefully continuously being described as the chapters go. As their stories flow, and as they are getting connected with one another, the protagonists come to deal and understand many things about people and their facades and weaknesses, but not only they, us too smile
The art is really witty and also lovely. Recommended !

Also, ch 24 made me weep like a baby, I almost lost all salt from my body. Beautiful and sad at the same time.

Nothing but "perfect" can describe this manga. I loved everything about it. It was beautiful, unique, and everything I could ever want in a high-school based romance manga. Perfect. And I want to name my son Arou, now. It's such a light, airy, flowy name. Aroou. Too bad it might sound weird with parents named Amanda and Ben. ........... Maybe not though! =D

Wow, I cried a couple times. xD

You don't see a manga very often that takes a couple, puts them together in the cutest of ways, and then manages to continue for fourty chapters through thick and thin and adorable in their relationship. Many seem to kind of run out of steam after there isn't unresolved sexual tension in the air to milk, or throw in things like sex or lack of protagonist common sense to spice it up, but Mekakushi no Kuni does not, and it's for the better.

That said, it's not really for anyone, anytime. I only recommend it if you're kind of in the mood for a very slow and sweet story.

I would personally say that it's fairly realistic as far as characters go. Most kids in highschool are good, ordinary kids. They want to do well, they want to live out their lives, and they don't usually want to save the world (at least I never did.) If you'd describe a good manga as realistic, I'd say it conveys the bland and happy sweetness of ordinary life pretty well.

I want to strongly recommend this manga unlike any other shoujo romance manga where there is a love triangle this one is pretty much the main girl only love the main guy and the main guy only loves the main girl and no one can tear them apart. There is no sex involve or even hinting of sex. Just plain traditional love which i like.

Wow.. people who gave this manga such low ratings obviously like those typical shoujo-i'm weak, help me- aren't i cute- manga's -.- If you don't like manga's with an actual plot (no not those "love at first sight" ideas), character development, deep thinking and growth in relationships (the real way as in by getting to know the person) then just go read something else.
I think this manga is really one of a kind how it blends romance and supernatural events together. It was really interesting to see their world through their eyes. The whole concept of being able to see the past and future is in itself unique because i really haven't heard of a manga like this. Absolutely loved it.

this is the first manga i read... and i absolutely HATED it.
I swear, its so boring. theres nothing in it... its just stupid little stories. No comedy, typical romance (none of the EEEP moments), very stupid. The characters are not well-developed, and it just stinxx!
bcz its the first manga i read, and the ppl r praising it 2 death, i'm thinking, maybe manga isnt for me bcz the expectations 4 manga seem rlly low.
the only thing that kept me from giving it a 1 is that the drawings r nice and the blindfolded analogy is cool..
BUT.. the story is horrid. A nightmare to read.
PLZ PLZ, next manga, be better than this sad
PS: actually, i dont think that i read the same manga as everyone else ORR the moderators remove the bad comments and leave the good ones. SURELY, someone has to share the same opinion as me??

If anything, this story is really sweet. Like a huge lump of milk chocolate. I can see someone like Hayao Miyazaki making a movie of this that's how bland and touching it is. I liked it, but a little more REALITY would have worked. The kids in this story didn't really do bad things, get in trouble or get into this HUGE love thing, it was all slow and fixed with the girl's HUGE doe eyes. Yeah see in real life that doesn't solve everything/anything.

I was confused with Arou's personality though. He went from having a bad-boy attitude way at the beginning, to being this super sweet, sensitive guy. which everyone LOVES of course. the artwork was bad, but it got better.. (Eri looked funny, now she's prettier!)

I like the story in whole, especially the concept of it. Arou's past made me cry. His dad and him when he was a kid, and coping with his mom's death. Sad..

It basically centers around what reality could be if these "powers" does exist. It was believable. Nothing was too overdone. Its not stupid. And its not cheesy/cliche.. Arou's and Kanade's love are the most sincere that I've seen in most mangas.

But GOD! the ending made me go "WHAT THE F***!" hahah i mean, poor Namiki! he's just.. the same! what happened to him now? haha whats happened to Sou? alot of "whats" still going on in my head..

NOT recommended to those who cant stand slow-moving stories.

Actually I really like this manga. It was what I would call "refreshing." I really miss very innocent love stories that don't involve sex or any carnal feeling (for the most part) but just focus on the purity of love.

The mangaka has a good handle with the concept of seeing in the past/future. The circumstances is actually realistic and it seems like this could happen in this world right now. On other words, I could totally see a character with Arou's personality because he can see so far in the past. It wasnt dumb, it was cheesy, but it was realistic.

When reading this manga, I highly suggest trying to picture the characters as real people who are going through this, as this will make the manga much more deep.

This was a sweet, great manga, read this if you want to read somehthing refreshing.

I didn't expect much from this series when I first started reading it, but I found myself hooked in no time... somehow reading this manga made me feel really, really good and happy (although, yes, there were some sad elements that made me tear up as well).

Overall, I found it to be a very heartwarming and enjoyable read, with none of the annoying characters that typically abound in shoujo series. And I agree with Odette, Arou is one of the kindest male protagonists I've seen in a shoujo manga. Heh, and he's definitely my favorite character: kind, sweet, loyal, and a little emotionally-fragile; never a mean word out of his mouth toward Kanade (except maybe a few teasing words at the very beginning). Gaahh, if only this guy were real (lol). READ THIS SERIES!
