From Yen Press:
Hello! This is Koiwai Yotsuba, Yotsuba Koiwai...um, YOTSUBA! Yotsuba moved with Daddy to a new house from our old house waaaaaaay over there! And moving's fun 'cos people wave! (Ohhhh!!) And Yotsuba met these nice people next door and made friends to play with (one of 'em acted like one of those bad strangers Daddy told Yotsuba not to go with, but it was okay in the end). I hope we get to play a lot. And eat ice cream! And-and-and...oh yeah! You should come play with Yotsuba too!

Only a heartless person can give this lovely and full of warm manga 1 rating
This manga is literally my childhood. I grew up reading this manga at the local library, borrowing volumes time and time again. As an adult I still keep coming back to reread my favorite chapters and devour the new one. Yotsubato represents some of the best parts of my childhood, and reminds me to inject some humor in my own life and enjoy the little day-to-day things.
I don't get tired of reading it, i like the way yotsuba sees everything, and how the characters interact between themselves. It's really easy to read, you won't read drama or pointless stuff, it's an everyday thing you'd like. i really like the dad, for me who doesn't have a father it gives me the idea of how wonderful it's like to have a dad.
Yotsubato for me is like a sunday comic you see in newspapers.
You read it for fun yet you never get bored of it.
Everyone said it already, Yotsubato is FUNNY, LIGHT, and very ENJOYABLE.
The adventure sucks you in, the characters are all likeable, a manga for all ages.
When I came to a public library, I saw Yotsubato, and the book looks like it's been read a lot of times base on the damage. Yes, it's re readable and you just can't get enough of it, you'll come back again and again because it lifts up your day full of positivity!
I love this manga because of how relaxing it is to read it. You don't get pump up or get irritated at the story but instead just get to read a great story about the life of a little girl. The characters are uplifting and everyone is willing to help raise Yotsuba and help her grow up. Teaching her what is wrong and right, and letting her enjoy being a child. This is a manga to read after you are burned out from gore, action, or even romance fill manga because this manga lets you just enjoy and relax throughout your read.
A very chill manga about a little girl and her childhood. Don't know why but it reminds me so much of Hayate no Gotoku minus the romance. If you are looking for a manga to kill time then this is the manga for you. There isn't so much of a story here though.
The only manga that manages to make me grin like an idiot throughout the entire read.
The mangaka captures the "magic" of daily routine in such a simple, yet fascinating way that it's simply fun to read. The passion for the smallest details, as well as the characters, are also incredible.
Oh, did I mention how much I love the drawing style?
It's nothing breath-taking, but it doesn't need to be anyway.
It's one of those works, that gives you a warm & fuzzy feeling and that's exactly what anyone needs from time to time.
This manga is amazing! It's funny, cute, adorable and amazing in every way.
The art is funny, quirky, expressive. The story is cute, realistic, and heartwarming.
Worth every second reading. I would love to buy the whole collection.
I love this manga, to me it is a timeless series that is, and always shall be, amazing. Okay, I know it's a comedy and all but honestly it's a great series for all the ages. It's about a little girl named Yotsuba who, through a series of hilarious circumstances, always manages to find herself in some kind of trouble, whether it involves her running off by herself or ,to later, running away from the very neighbors who offered to help and find her. She also ends up meeting a very colorful cast of characters who you will find yourself becoming very attached to over the course of the series. The main reason you like these characters, and my favorite part of this series, is how realistic these characters are. I mean I can honestly see this all happening in the real world, and no I dont mean all the specifics but the antics and the overall personality of the characters is very realistic and believable. Especially that of our main character, Yotsuba, she is a really great representation of what a child is really like with her naive nature, curiousness, and sometimes unknowingly selfish attitude, she represents what the common everyday child is like, no shes not perfect, but she's not meant to be, and I think the fact that the author could express this so well is a true testimony to how good this manga truly is. Now there is a lot more involved but since I dont want to spoil anything I think I will leave it off here. So in conclusion I recommend this series to anyone, manga lover or not, to give a try and I guarantee you wont be disappointed.
