So some stereotypes of this manga may be that it's terrible and trying to scam the readers because it's by a different mangaka than the original. Let's clear some things up first. Even though it was not clearly stated that this is made by a different mangaka during the initial release of this series, the mangaka never lied about who he is, and he is the assistant to the original mangaka of naruto.
In fact, I think this assistant-san is very very good in his work with this series. It is ridiculously funny, and is able to link the small bits of comedy to the actual 'Naruto series logic' so eloquently that it is impressive. Also, I'm sure he checks back with the mangaka, since he is his assistant, right? One shouldn't consider it a sham.
I appeal to people to not anyhow rate it lowly because of your impressions of it. I truly love this series, and will commit to reading it to its completion.

I thought it was a good representation of the characters, obviously created by a real fan. It's very funny with good chibi style art. Anyone who reads it should know that this was not suppose to be a knock-off or someone pretending to be Kishimoto, who most-likely had to approve of this before it got published under the same magazine publisher as Naruto.

This spin off is very cute and had me cracking up a few times. The chibis = adorable. I love that it develops the other minor characters too. I <3 Lee! He is such an inspiring protagonist. I recommend the anime version too. You can find it on crunchyroll.

When I saw the title I thought it was a joke. Someone actually wrote this? And what's more, the first chapter actually made me laugh! I...don't know how to feel about this. I think I'll read some more.

The comedy is hit and miss for me. The drawing is alright, but I personally dislike chibi. I'm also not into one-shots, therefore this is not my cup of tea. This is okay as a fan work doujinshi, but not anything great.

this is a terrible gag manga about a minor character. its not done by the same author as naruto, and it probably was only serialized to trick the readers of the new magazine that its the same as the other series.
