love it

seriously, I do. dead end rejects normal. and purposelessness. it sticks together like glue that smells of cakes gone awry. you still have to love it despite all the vile taste in your mouth. and the art.. some say it is bad. but I sometimes find myself saving pages that I after some time look at and think: wtf? by no means great art, but at the time of reading I loved it. even a great drawing without any story behind it will be just great, until a decent one comes around and rocks it's socks off with the depth behind it. this one has that.

I would give this a 9, but since everyone thinks this does not deserve a 10, I do! bwahaha. I am special. ^^

Refreshing, though notably niche, series

I was initially turned off by this series after seeing the art. I came back to it a year later, and was glad I did. The ugly character designs are actually a perfect match for a series about ugly people, leading ugly lives, committing ugly acts. It's gritty, with sort of an underground feel to it. It's not a mass-market series, and many people simply won't like it, however I found the story and characters to be quite compelling. Unfortunately it is not able to completely deliver on the mystery and intrigue it builds up around the characters, and last volume left me feeling disappointed that the story was not developed further.

Decent art with unique character designs; story interesting enough to keep me turning the pages to find out the mystery behind the events and characters of the story... Enjoyed reading this and intend to revisit this one at a later date just because the ending didn't sit well with me...

Well, the art sure is odd, but you get used to it in a few chapters. At first I didn`t like the story, but then it somehow dragged me in and it was a very interesting read till the last 2 chapters. One of them was the whole thing of *wtf?*`ks and the last was totally depressing and pessimistic.
So the end of the story disappointed me.

i didn't initially like the art work but the more i read the more fitting it became. the story is an amazing psychological thriller i had to read it in one sitting, though there is something missing the ending didn't seem quite right but perhaps i'm missing some thing?

The art is pretty bad, it`s not that it isn`t good drawn it just looks ugly, but I continued reading because I thought there would happen something very surprising in the story, but I was wrong, the ending is to abrupt und the in the end is was nothing special, except the "bad" art

plot: girl falls from sky. maybe mangaka had a 1960s day with the beatles. maybe mangaka had a freaky dream one night and just went with it. love then carnage then lots of soldiering.

...
i liked this. what tokkun said about "compelling", i concur. and i like the art. i'd call it "art" and not bishi-bubblegum-stickum. both styles are fine; of course, this story can't have anything but the former. like takahashi tsutomu, sometimes faces have clean, open lines that parallel their characters' quieter moments. the ending does feel truncated, but that kinda short shrift has more to do with publishers and editors than the mangaka. i'd read more of this guy's stuff...

The art usually doesn't matter much to me, but I gotta say, man that was really bad! the story is good and pulls you in, but I bet the art would scare anyone away.

this was by no means an entertaining or an enjoyable manga...i'm a fan of seinen and psychological manga but this was pure 100% crap...the dialogues were retarded, pointless and too many times gave u the impression that most of the conversations or monologues were happening just for the purpose of filling up space....the art was bad...not interesting at all...i'm a fan of weird art but this presented no interest or value whatsoever to me..it was just bad..quite some times it gave me the impression the mangaka was making things up on the spot so as to help the plot to continue and finish the enemies or go on with the plot in general....up to the ending the fights, the dialogues, the art and the overall entertainment were abusmal! nothing enjoyable....only in the ending the manga picked up a lil' when it made some explanations...although to be honest the explanation was also a bit lame...and it didn't explain everything....the art and the plot in general were everywhere...nothing constructed or any revolutionary ideas....very amateurish manga! waste of time to tell you the truth

P.S: and for sure i can't be wowed by some random pessimistic thoughts of the world and the mankind going to hell the way we're treating the planet...we've heard these things thousands of times before and being presented in a better way
