I have to admit, I preferred this version of the story to the seinen manga version. The characters seem more likeable and the art style is more attractive. In the seinen manga and internet novel, I found myself disliking Trainman and thinking of him as a typical pathetic overgrown child that is ridiculously desperate for a girlfriend, any girlfriend. Here he is sweeter, kinder, and cuter, probably to appeal more to the female audience it is intended for. Some fans of the story may not like to see Trainman bishonened-up, but others may find that's what makes it for them.
