It's a common story, but still so cozy. Wholesomeness at top.

What indeed a silly dad Satou is. I like his struggles as a single father for his son Rin’s benefits while wanting attention to Takahashi well. Takahashi seems more physically weak, but he has strong beliefs for both of them. Rintarou is cute and a bit mature but is too young to know further relationship between Satou and Takahashi. The plot is pretty dramatic but ends sweetly at each chapter. The last chapter is crazily hilarious.

I wanted to like this, I was actually hoping for the whole straight dad falls for gay neighbor thing...
I was looking forward to lots of denial, angst, questioning of one's sexuality etc... Instead what I got was a too fast paced PWP with sex 30 pages into the story....
If you like the gay single dad plot like I do, there are a lot better stories around.
That said, the art was pretty, at least and it had its cute moments.... who can resist a cute chibi kid?

While it IS true that this story was very rushed, I felt that after the first chapter their relationship began to progress more naturaly. I'm not going to lie and say that there were many things that needed to be "deeper", I felt that the main issue was in the first chapter and I loved the rest of this manga.
Should've Been Longer

I don't say that it should've been longer because I like it so much that I just want more, obviously based on my rating, but rather because it was rushed to the extreme. If the mangaka wanted the relationship to start in a chapter she should've left the sex out and the whole gay meaning he won't have a family thing. There's a better way to rush a relationship than is here. It should've been extended to allow for realistic development instead of just skipping to trash all chemistry and get to the obligatory scenes: sex, cute kid, fight, ex drama, more sex, etc.
Cute story

The number one character that I love the most in this story is definitely Rintarou. He's soooooo cute! I wish I have a son like that when I get married. He's like so understanding and all that! Just like a matured adult but is a kid. Even though I'm not a parent but I kinda understand Satou's feelings when Rintarou went missing, that anxious feeling. It's like losing something and you're afraid that you can't find it back anymore and well, I think Satou did the right thing by slapping Takanashi. I mean, dude, if you found that kid, obviously the first thing you gotta do is call the parent.
But other than that, I think the story is okay, though a bit dull. It's sort of typical, since there are other yaoi stories similar to this as well. I'm just gonna say that this manga...is nothing special. :/ Could have been better.

I'm sorry to all the fans of the story out there but this was, plainly, utter failure.
The straight dad fell in love with the cute and cliché university student uke in a nano-second, but I could have looked beyond that if only there was anything closer to chemistry or sexual tension between them. There was not. The sex scenes were absolutely gratuitous, which is to say perfectly uncalled for. But I guess you can only hope so much from two main characters who are so poorly developed they could only fit together in a ridiculously shallow relationship.
And don't get me started on how SEXIST the whole thing was. I mean, I understand female writers and female readers feel more at ease with the mama/daddy roles, much like they enjoy the (non-realistic) uke and seme ones. But give me a freaking break here. The dad bluntly said he should protect the family because "he is the dad after all" as if it was the mother's place to cook and look cute all the time. And while we're at it, isn't Takahashi a college student? He should be studying then, not improving his cooking.
Oh and of course the son is also gay...
There's just no depth or credibility to either the characters or the plot. Plus, the art is not that appealing either. Ugg.

The plot was TOO rushed. There wasn't enough drama to add the genre 'drama'. There wasn't enough jealousy and they're too forgiving of each other. I couldn't feel any 'real' love between Takahashi and Satou, only shallow love.
I've read a few single father yaoi stories and they were fantastic. Couldn't say the same thing here.
The characters were drawn well. That's the only positive thing I could give this manga.

i love kitazawa sensei's works and single-father plots alot. i enjoyed the story where they actually tackled somewhat realistic matters and problems. but i wasn't too into the characters. haha this is more of a personal preference of how you like your semes and ukes, but Satou was in a way a very selfish and rash character and he just didn't look cool in my eyes (i like my semes cool). Also Takahashi was too doting on Satou, he would give into all his demands. He was definitely very cute, but he just followed Satou around thoughtlessly. The character development in this just wasn't my cup of tea.
